Does anyone know how to deactivate a key on steam. I couldn't stand the censored version of TF2 and went and bought the retail uncensored one. But it wont let me activate key. Keeps telling me the game has already been activated. Delete the old one but still no change.>

You can't other than creating a new Steam account.

Contact steam support. I think they will/should help you, since you bought the same game 2 times Laughing Laughing Laughing

Rolling Eyes

Yeah, 29.99 >_>

Certainly not for the poor bastards that Steam lock into the "Euro" currency. We get screwed hard.

STEAM has regional pricing. It's 29.99 in the UK, maybe other parts of the world too.

I know, I wasn't calling the guy a liar Sad Just emphasising another point on why I hate Steam and only buy ABSOLUTE bargains from there.

Even with regional prices, the Euro fiasco has decimated Europe on Steam. £29.99 is €32.26 ... yet Steam/Valve seem to think we should pay €49.99 instead. Tell me how THAT's fair Sad

@Grale

That breaks the forum .. resize please? Razz

Shit... re-reading my other post and it DOES look a bit like I was contesting what he said. I'll edit for proper clarification >_<

As far as Steam is concerned, especially the whole "£39.99!!!1" bullshit, I honestly don't see how it's legal. Hasn't anyone tried contacting Watchdog, or some other kind of regulation agency? £39.99 is more than ANY retail store charges .. and it CAN'T be legal to charge those Euro prices, not when the current exchange rate makes it upto 45% more expensive :-\

Uh, excuse me, it's called the "free market," maybe you've heard of the concept? I'm pretty sure that some of the countries over there in Europe have it, if I'm not vastly mistaken?

They're free to charge whatever price they want, wherever they want (just like you have the right to choose no to buy products from them, at their prices). They are not obligated to match foreign rates; the prices would be changing every day, if they did.

Then again, it wouldn't surprise me for most European governments to try to meddle like that with private enterprise, or for European citizens to expect their governments to do that...

If someone sends money as a GIFT via paypal are you still at risk of the money being taken back by them via a dispute?
