When is it supposed to crash? I've played 2 missions + tutorial with no crash yet.
doesn't crash , faith becomes slow as fuck and you can't jump across anything starting chapter two
I just came over hear to see comments on the game before I started to play and then I stumbled on the above.
I suppose that means we need a proper again.
Fuck.
I'm using an old logitech gamepad with analog sticks. And yes for me the left stick on the controller is inverted. Pushing back makes you walk forward no idea why. I actually prefer using the keyboard + mouse. I'm nearing the end of the game I think... hope there's some decent replay value, it's a fun game.

I think you can fix that by editing an .ini file. Rise Of The Argonauts had the same issue.
Ok, so im embarassed to ask this question, but am I supposed to be installing this driver in addition to my nvidia display driver? Up till now Ive always been under the impression I was good to go with physx because of the option to enable/disable it in my video settings?? My card is an 8800 ultra in case thats relavent.
For those asking whats the difference, with Physx and no Phsyx. Here is a vid.
Edit: Also, I get no audio during cutscenes, on Windows 7 x64. I did not have that problem on Vista x64. Any work arounds, for Windows 7 users?
im sure its a driver issue
Its hard to think that, because audio works fine, once you get to actual gameplay. If it was a driver issue, then you would think, you would have no audio at all.

try messing with the audio sources; software hardware etc
Games available now on D2D UK and EA store in EU regions.
(Will work for me until RLD gets a proper out, don't want to waste activations as EA is a bit problematic with deactivating existing ones.)
I did try disabling all, sound sources besides the one I was using. HDMI, headphones, etc... Did not help. Only get sound during gameplay. But I will keep tinkering. Right now I am looking at the TDengine.ini. Maybe there is something in there that needs tweaked.
Edit. Tried setting to "Software mode", ingame. Still no audio during cutscenes.
Edit. Does this look OK, to you Vista folks?
A question! There's a time trial map which is based on the level where you chase that guy. But, there's a checkpoint in there which I can't reach! I think it's the 5th one, and it comes right after you jump down on to the blue area. Does anyone know the part I'm talking about?
I'll try it again, maybe I'll find the correct route this time.
Edit: Got it! You need to stand on the outside ledge, then climb up.
I think that there is an issue with the binkw32.dll in the Mirror's Edge directory for Windows 7 users.. the videos play and sound fine in RAD Tools.. so it must be something about EA's bink plugin that isn't working correctly.
Personally, I don't care much about the story, and the sound in-game is perfect.. so I'll just watch them outside the game if I feel like it.
I tried running in XP SP2 compatibility mode, but still no audio during cut scenes. I did not install using Compatibility mode.
i suppose there is a problem with your audio codecs, not with the drivers. The compatibility mode won't help. Just report to the Microsoft and EA forums and wait for updates)
