Heat topic was pushed out of first page so had to start a new one.

Fucking heat.

Our company moved to a new building and they decided it would be nice to put all 200 people in one single hall, so that the airconditioning cannot by any means be made so that it's nice for everyone.

I'm the only nordic person here, everyone else loves 28c in the offices. Rage

OT:
you can make new topic ideas by combining different bitching session topics:
"Fucking My Brothers Wife", "People suck smelly farts".

Sounds like you are working in some suspicious factory building. Cool Face

No but seriously, what job are you doing? 200 people even in a huge hall sounds crazy.

Software development Razz

It's 2 story hall, but there's no closed floor between, it's open on the sides.
(We actually have ~400 or so, but the rest of the people are in the second 'hall')

+ We have still one hall empty.

FUCKING HEAT. This shit has been going on since April and it's NOT stopping. Barely a drop of water from the skies, 28-32 degrees C, forest fires all over the country, drought spelling doom for the crops and I HATE temps beyond 25C. I'm so sick and tired of this shit (and it's costly since I have to run the AC which eats power like a fucking munchkin). You'd think I live in Spain or something.

Yep, took a look at the temperature outdoors about an hour ago. 35 Celsius.

Granted that's a spot that gets warmed up over time so overall it's a bit lower than that.
Older apartment building though so there's metal which is heated up plus several windows so indoors it's almost over 30 Celsius currently with 1x AC and 3x Fans circulating the air outside or trying to. Razz

Sister's down in Spain for a week now, heard they're close to 40 Celsius so that must be really fun although compared to me they're kinda alright with the heat whereas I'm basically sitting at 15 degrees or so thinking it's pretty hot. Very Happy
(EDIT: Well sister and her boyfriend, took a one week vacation although it sounds more like a slow roasting or something, guess they'll be beached for most of their stay ha ha.)

Well that certainly doesn't sound very fun, isn't 45+ somewhere almost unhealthy although I suppose hydration is the key thing next to avoiding being out in the open sun for too long.

And a slight difference between dry and humid heat too.

And now I'm curious, what is the hottest place on this planet. Heat wise that is. Razz

EDIT: Yeah Australia is definitively up there after a quick search, 15 locations hitting temperatures of 45+ degrees in Celsius.

As if the wildlife wasn't bad enough.

And apparently almost 70 degrees at one point in 2003

Have to say, past two years feels more like a Belgian summers. Still people over there think I live in some cold region. Rage

Fucking trains get delayed constantly due to fires and technical failures... well same as in winter I guess but instead of fires it's some other nonsense like a bit of snow or a leaf on track. :>

Last Summer we were practically living inside a giant barbecue, but this one has been quite kind so far with its ~33°C-ish and breeze that ain't coming from the Saharian oven. It's still early though, the nasty Charon might just be late to the party xD

And here, apparently, we've swapped the weather with England. It's been 15-23°C and raining for the last 2 weeks at least. At the same time I've heard from my friends in the UK that there was not a single drop of rain for 5 weeks with 30+ °C

Poland.
We're in the middle of July and it's 20 degrees outside, clouds everywhere and, surprisingly, it hasn't been raining for whole FOUR hours.

So close yet so far away. I wish the kurwas had our weather and we had 15-23 with rain. Grass is yellow, trees are beginning to suffer, I suffer (damn kurwa-viking made for cold climate, not this north african shit).

Supposedly building up to a fucking thunderstorm though but at least it'll be nice and cool.

And we'll be without power for a few hours I suppose but eh, it might survive.
(Has to be at least once or twice for the power to not get knocked out because some angry Asa bastard was laying down the hammer up above but yeah that station and the lines surrounding it still can't take very much. Razz )
