Meet the Allayi, a brand new faction that is coming in Endless Legend's next content pack: the Shifters. They will be able to shift during winters. All factions will also be able to collect a new resource called the "Pearls of Auriga", enabling them to unlock new powers through the "Altar of Auriga" and modify the upcoming winters' impacts.
Our VIP players are already testing it before everyone, but there's still some work to do before you can all get your hands on it. As usual, we'll reveal more info as we get closer to the release.
Introducing a richer winter season! With a new resource to collect around the map during winter, the Pearls of Auriga, players have the opportunity to influence the effects of winter, to gain advantages and hinder their enemies. Factions can spend their pearls to acquire blessings on the Altar of Auriga, a new building that can be built in your city. Winters will have a few surprises in store with the possibility of lakes and seas freezing over to allow passage of troops!
NEW FACTION
Endless Legend: Shifters also adds a new faction, the Allayi. The Allayi are few in number and have an intrinsic relationship with the Pearls of Auriga. Shifting with the seasons from friendly neighbours to enraged raiders, in the right hands the Allayi can prove extraordinary opponents.
ALTAR OF AURIGA: BLESSINGS
Bought out instantly by spending Pearls, the new Blessings are bound to the number of elapsed winters. They have a unique appearance and function, such as defensive towers to protect your territory from marauding armies, unique districts and city improvements, pearl stockpiles & pearl item sets. Moreover, the new Allayi faction has exclusive blessings, allowing them for instance to shift form at will!
THE ALLAYIWhen the Endless first came to Auriga they did not find an empty
planet, but one teeming with life -- some of it intelligent. The Guardians,
caretakers of the planets, were one sentient species; another were their
helpers and comrades, the Allayi.
The Allayi were broken and scattered by the Endless, and for centuries they
have survived on the fringes of existence. Handing their traditions and
stories down in the form of a religious text, the Epistles, and a book of
prayer, the Euchologion, they have been waiting in the snows and the
shadows until Auriga once again needs them. And it seems that this time has
come...
The Allayi are a people so closely aligned to Auriga that their very nature
changes as the Dark Seasons occur. While they are friendly and defensive in
summer, when the harsh winters arrive they become aggressive and dangerous,
reflecting the madness of the planet. They are tied so closely to Auriga's
fate that even their bodies alter to match the evolution of these extreme
seasons.
Growing strong once again the Allayi have returned, prepared to defend and
preserve Mother Auriga with all their grim strength.
NEW HEROES & UNITSDeeply connected to the moods of Auriga, the Allayi
change their appearance and abilities as the seasons change.
This attunement allows them to know precisely when seasons are changing,
and see the Pearl's location even hidden in the fog of war.
Seeker
Like cavalry, the Seeker strikes rapidly from a distance with a powerful
charge. In summer the charge has a greater attack; in winter it removes the
enemy's defense.
Skyfin
Arguably the most revered and majestic being on Auriga, the Skyfin's
presence improves friendly morale in summer and decreases enemy morale in
winter.
Monk
Powerful and hard-striking, the Monk unit's skill with its long blade
results in powerful counters in summer and powerful attacks in winter.
WINTER IS CHANGINGWith Shifters' we have entirely revamped the Winter
system by introducing a whole new layer of gameplay. Winter is changing!
New winter effects
Winters are never going to be the same anymore thanks to numerous new
effects that even impact the Adventure map! Frozen lakes, rivers and
coastlines can now be crossed on foot providing new strategic opportunities
for your Empire, and its enemies
Pearls of Auriga
A pure outgrowth of Auriga, they distill the living essence of the planet.
Both powerful and beautiful, the Pearls can be put to many wondrous
purposes.
Altar of Auriga
The Altar of Auriga is a sacred building to those who live upon her. It is
a center of ancient power from the times even before the Endless. By
bringing her Pearls here and unlocking the Altar's Blessings, powerful
magical effects can be applied to a city, region, or empire.
With the Altar, Empires can also use the collected Pearls to influence
which effects will be applied to the next Winter cycle.
New buildings
Besides the Altar of Auriga, you can now build beautiful new districts that
stand out in your cities and boost resources extraction and stockpiling.
Pearls can also be used to build defense towers on the Adventure map that
act as a defensive shield for your city, striking those who would come and
do ill to your empire.
NEW ITEMS
Pearls are powerful, but also strange, fragile, and easily marred. To craft
with them requires a high level of skill and great humility.
Powerful new items can now be crafted with Pearls such as the Cuirass of
the Snows' that mitigates Winter's negative effects, or the Band of
Auriga's Chosen' which allows troops to move faster on frozen grounds.

This expansion will introduce the Morgawr, an aquatic-based Major Faction specialized in naval warfare and manipulation of other creatures. Factions will now be able to fight for dominance of the oceans through the control of sea fortresses, although they will have to wrestle these from the grasp of the Fomorians, a new Minor Faction.
Naval Warfare: Naval battles for everyone! You will be able to battle on the seas. All seaborne units can instigate and reinforce sea battles. Exotic mechanics and tile effects spice up this new type of battle!
Ocean Control with Weather System: Arcane structures have emerged from beneath the waves: these Endless relics provide strategic and luxury resources as well as other bonuses to the empire able to control them. To do so, their mysterious guardians must be parlayed with or defeated in battle. The same guardians will patrol “wild” ocean regions, making them a lot less safe to cross without a convoy. Expect clouds, rain and storms to appear on your map.
Sea Fortresses and Minor Faction Fomorians: New generated ocean regions, including a Sea Fortress, offer strategic locations in the water for players to battle it out. Anywhere from zero to three fortresses are located in each ocean region, so expect more in oceans that are more strategically pivotal, between islands or continents.

- Expansion made by NGD Studios (Master of Orion reboot)
- New Faction: The Kapaku
- New Feature: The Dust Eclipse
- New Terrain Type: Volcanic Tiles
Endless Legend: Inferno introduces a brand new Faction to the game: the Kapaku. Forced to leave their volcanic home planet, the Kapaku lands on Auriga with the firm intention to create a paradise of ash and fire…
Kapaku are native to volcanic terrain: they gain strong unit buffs while on volcanic tiles and have productions perks that reward them for settling on volcanic regions. Their gameplay focuses on leveraging these perks to field large armies with quality gear, or teching quickly into wonders and deeds. Although they rely heavily on this rare type of terrain, they wield the incredible power of “Lavaformation”, allowing them to change any terrain into Volcanic Tiles permanently. While they may be strangers to Auriga, the Kapaku always have the Home Turf advantage!
A crafty species of tinkers and inventors, the small Kapaku rely on their powerful Golems to do their heavy lifting. Hailing from a volcanic world ravaged by Sowers, they can exploit the new terrain much better than any other faction, although they require large amounts of strategic resources to use their abilities to their fullest. They possess unique knowledge of the Dust Eclipses, granted by the Endless themselves.
DUST ECLIPSES
As the skies darken and the atmosphere becomes thick with dust, dormant powers awaken in the denizens of Auriga, giving each faction new powers or improving their existing capacities to terrifying new levels. This same dust infusion creates short-lived “Dust Confluxes” all over the map, bestowing a temporary boon to whatever army reaches them first – as it triggers new weather patterns and stirs old unsettling sights from Auriga’s long-lost past!
NEW VOLCANIC TERRAIN
Lava Terrain is inhospitable, but what it lacks in food it more than makes up for in industry, science or dust. It is a rough starting position for most species, but if leveraged properly it can quickly turn middling cities into powerful production centers. Along with this new savage lands, we are also adding new “Volcanic Anomalies” providing even more incentives to venture into these barren hellscapes.
In addition to the new tiles and the “Volcanic” terrain type, volcanic biomes also contain active volcanoes that spew rivers of hot, hot lava! Although they don’t add any food, the free energy from these rivers adds to the industry output of the tiles.
Endless Legend – Symbiosis expansion brings forth new colossal beasts called Urkans as well as a brand-new faction: The Mykara.
The Mykara
Through evolution and assimilation, this ancient civilization rose from unicellular beings to full grown warriors. They serve only one purpose, bringing balance back to Auriga.
The Mykara originate from a unique stem city and overgrow points of interest to fuel their economy. While they cannot settle new land, they can turn conquered enemy cities into ghost towns from which they get bonus resources. After a few turns, their symbiosis with the conquered town allow them to gain bonus traits…
New Gigantic Units: The Urkans
Urkans are massive beasts that appear randomly around the map taking control of neutral land. To tame the creature, empires will have to bribe or defeat them in battle alongside their minions. Taming an Urkan unlocks a new set of unique abilities that is suited for both defensive and aggressive playstyles.
