Hello,
I'm thinking to buy a second monitor because I've seen more and more ppl use two (or more)
And because I need more 'space', hopefully I will work faster.
But I've some 'how to's ' such as: ...
-If i maximise an window, it will maximise on one monitor or it will stretch on both?
-Will 'eat' more resources?
-Are two monitors good for something?
More to come ... ;D

eXplorex wrote: | -Will 'eat' more resources? | Don't think so, you just need an half-decent video card, i.e. if you use vista's themes transparency, etc.
eXplorex wrote: | -Are two monitors good for something? | Yeah it is needed if you need to multitask, need several apps/windows/crap opened at once... Needed to work but imo useless if you only play games or watch vids, there rather have a single but bigger screen.

yeah I don't really see much use in two monitors unless you are using it for work...

Yeah, two monitors would be awesome... Movie on one side, Visual Studio, Nfohump, Google and Word on the other...

I want it too. I just don't have the money to buy a proper monitor for it. Can you buy a VGA-DVI adaptor so you can throw an old monitor on your new GFX?

Well, if your boss is one of those that click on a button, then take half a minute to see if they clicked the right button (and another half to find where the cursor actually was).

Oh no need to explain about those to me. I've had such teachers and lecturers, and I hate them the most. Stuck with old tools (old like from 98 or even older) and unwilling to use the newer ones, because MS is out to get them, and because the old tools have less colors ( )! Last year I had a lecturer that said he has DOS in his house because XP is a DOS shell anyway ( ). When asked about Vista, he asked if that was a Unix extension ahahah... After that I just dropped out of the course.

Have duel monitors at work, its a must for what i do. I also have duel monitors at home and while i do a little work at home, i mostly use them for everyday computer use. Web browsing, downloading, gaming etc. And to be honest, even with everyday tasks, i cannot be without 2 displays now. IT just makes everything so much slicker to do. Movie on one screen while i go through my weekly downloads on another screen etc.

I can only imagine what it would be like to work in Photoshop or Dreamviewer with dual monitors... Oh it would be heaven...
