You could try upgrading the firmware on the 115d, i have the same with the latest firmware and burned NG2 on a cheapy A0NE+DL with no problem.
But the problem may well be the 360 laser lens is dirty or on it's way out.

i decided to abort because it was just taking far too long, finalizing on the first try took a bit of time as well when it reached 99% but that was successful whereas this one didn't complete.
So i tried the game and it still seems to work, not sure if the whole game will work though.
Does any1 know what the problem might be? shall i use a different program to burn backups or update the firmware... i don't want to waste the verbs i bought.. thanks

1) But COD4 worked with the external so why not now, it could be the problem i guess.
2) Thats what im using
3) DVD-R or DVD-Rom? The game works so thats not the problem, its just failed at 99.99% :S so i guess 0.01% of the disc wont work properly.

ok cool will try it out, could i get a quick guide on how it works?
Go to write?.. how do you load the image... what to open? (.dvd or .iso).. does it set the layer break by itself (if .dvd not used).. etc.

you just set your xbox drive type in the 'options tab', check .iso to make sure all security/stealth shit is present in the 'image tools' tab, and then go to the 'write' tab and click on start ... you will be prompted to select a file to burn. I always use the .dvd file so I'm not sure if it's necessary.
asus z170-A || core i5-6600K || geforce gtx 970 4gb || 16gb ddr4 ram || win10 || 1080p led samsung 27"

thanks!, ive tried 2 disks and they work great.... but when i set the burn speed to 2x it still burnt them at 4x :S.
Gears of war gets disk unreadable error before i start act4 now... is it the disk or some sort of patch fixes the problem? (could be the disk as it got stuck at 99.99%)

you need to use DVD+R DL, DVD-R DL has an locked layer break that you can not change and an specific layer break is required for x360 games.
