Laughing my ass off when it completes and gets released with a campaign of 1 hour, during that hour you take off with your ship, then the credits roll....

I love how people say it's immersive because you have to open the canopy, enter the cockpit via some kind of ladder, the canopy closes. Or you have to walk through entire ship to pilot it. And it's fantastic because Star Citizen is GOD.
But when in reality when you had to suffer through it constantly in StarField it's shit.
I'm pretty sure i saw them brag about having a real time tram line in one of the videos.
That sure sounds like some fun gaming to me
God, that whole universe looks boring as hell and the dialogs feel like placeholders. Plus, I'm so thrilled about the FPS parts of the SP campaign.. (not!) I don't see myself bothering to even try this out. Is it still possible to sell the original KS account?

Looks fantastic to me, awesome athmosphere in the last video, but it runs like shit, i bet it will the most unoptimized game ever, cant wait to play this at internal 240p upscaled to 1080p, double frame generation on etc.. .
I don't know.. you can get 60-100 FPS at 1440p on a pretty average (modern) rig
the problem is rather hard server limits that affect client performance, I hope they get around to fixing that
But yea it's crazy unoptimized still, but also crazy complex. guess its kinda hard to compare to normal games
Been on the hate train a while but the whole presentation looked very promising
As in, the updates to Star Citizen weren't reflective of what they were cooking up under wraps
Seems like their puzzle pieces are finally starting to come together and the areas with missing pieces are becoming smaller and smaller
Singe player campaign by the end of 2024 or early 2025 does seem doable
SC proper 2-3 years after? Esp with the freed up resources
For something that looked like it would never be finished? For the first time I have a positive outlook for the game
Could still of couse be a complete dud. A universe has to be filled with interesting content or be just another Elite Dangerous. A challenge equal to the technical challenges they seem to have solved for the most part

A lot of people also do not realize Squadron 42 is going to be 3 parts, what most people currently own that came with the game packages is just Chapter 1, early Kickstarter backers got Chapter 2 for free so most will have to buy that and everyone will have to buy Chapter 3. CIG did say that the other 2 games should come out much faster once SQ42 is released since most of the tech will be done but that probably means all 3 SQ42 games will not be done till 2030.
All the stuff they have been showing though is just from the first game as I think it was mentioned that SQ42 takes place like 10 years before Star Citizen so the 3 games will show what happens during those 10 years.

I thought they scrapped that and said the full SQ42 will be released with the 3 episodes but can't find it (or was just my imagination )
Only thing I found was this from 2015 with Chris Roberts quotes saying first episode will have 28 chapters with 70+ missions and ~20 hours to complete.

SQ42 was always planned as a trilogy but I think CIG are vague on exactly what they mean about SQ42 being feature complete as do they mean just the first game, all 3 games, no one knows for certain. You can find people talking about Chapter 2 or Episode 2 on the Spectrum forums but I do not think CIG wants new players to realize that SQ42 is supposed to be a 3 game series because they still do not even have the first game done so talking about sequels to it would not make sense to a lot of people kind of like Star Citizen in general for most.

I find it so bizarre that in that forum thread every time someone writes something the first response it always "care to cite" or "do you have a source" like some fanatical religious zealots asking where in the Bible/Quran/Torah/Tripitaka/etc that was written.
But if that's correct, I am excited for the meltdown of people who paid 10k+ $$$ after 2014 and will have to buy SQ42 chapter 2 and 3.
I do hope it's different now. Because there is finally no more gameplay elements added to the Squadron42 roadmap. CR should be finally saying some truth saying the game is "complete". Of course bug fixing and optimizing is the hardest work but at least has to be released in 2025 in somewhat Cyberpunk2077 state.

Tried it 5 years ago, not much to do. Tried it 3 years ago, not much to do but slightly prettier. Tried it a year ago, not much to do, but you can now walk around a LOT of places with nothing to do, and in caves!
Last time we tried it last december, tried space combat with AI, AI is beyond simplistic, to the point only way it could be less challenging is if they didn't move. Same with AI foot combat. The "Fed-ex, but in space!" delivery missions was atari 2600 simple for 'go to random X location -> get box -> go to random Y location, success" with the success part iffy, as the places to put the boxes could be missing, the box itself missing, the box can fall thru the planet if you drop it, or start physic glitching in your hands and fling itself into space.
It truly felt like If Elite Dangerous was in pre-alpha, only had one solar system, 80% of the activities wasn't in it yet. And they built it in Unreal 5.

How much money do you need to fake your own death?
That genuinely made me laugh out loud 😅
Because you're one of the few who... 'got it'?
But frankly...
It's NOT that funny, seeing so many people acting like brainwashed cult members having their reality distorted, while being spoon-fed illusions and bamboozled into supplying for decades endless pockets.
Nice, but is there anything to do in it?
Star Citizens looks amazing, just like 3dmark does. But neither of them have anything to do while in them
Why everytime I try it, I get bored in 2-3 days. Nothing to do. Eyecandy and flying from place to place playing fedex driver in space gets old quick. And Space fighting NPCs is...'i just learned unity' levels of Ai design.
I really feel Star Citizen is the Face of Mankind 2.0: Nothing to do that is engaging in the massive world. So the players sunk into it try to make their own, mostly pointless roleplay goals, to distract themselves.
