Mentions stuff like the interface, controls and the difficulty level.
(Based on what they say it seems the game is quite easy unless you play on hard or the ultra hard difficulty level.)

EDIT: A similar preview wich also complains a bit about the game.

(Taken from the InCrysis forum thread where they discuss the above previews.)

I never liked that power-suit and now I know why, it feels to easy and unbalanced. Instead of a regular guy with armor and medkits you are more lke a Predator in Crysis, with cloack, jumping very high, picking up heavy rocks the only thing that is missing is the shoulder-laser and different vision modes like heat-seak and than you could really call this game Predator. I hope EA doesn't screw up for the gazilienth time in a row Mad

They can just increase the damage the AI causes and its fixed. It was easy to do in FC. Also the "invisible walls" he mentioned is a locked preview level. This guy doesnt like these games, he probably likes CS, mario or zelda games thats why he is so negative. Oh and Crysis motion blur absultely rocks.

A small notice about the beta, as expected it will be a filelanet download so I guess it's a subscriber exclusive thing with the chance of normal members getting it later depending on available keys left and such.

To be honest i got a bit dissapointed the first time i heard about that nanosuit, its like a superhero, i dont like that..
Thats why i like Call of Duty and games like that, even Unreal Tournament.. Because every player is on equal terms, you have to rely on your weapon, thats the ONLY thing that will keep you alive.. Not som magical invisibility shield or high jump elf-magic..

I just want a jungle, enemies and vehicles. And alot of weapons. THATS IT. I want to play as a normal human being, with the exact same ammount of hitpoints as the enemies. That is what i consider fun. That is what made FarCry so fun. It was you vs them, equal terms. If you both had a pistol, the one who aimed better and/or was smarter would survive. Not some stupid superman ability..

Dont get me wrong, im looking forward to this game, but mostly due to the gfx.. Because the gameplay doesnt really appeal to me now with the nanosuit crap.
I mean what the hell is the point? The only thing you are gonna do ALL THE TIME is to switch to armor when you are fighting, then switch to speed when you wanna run away, then switch to armor again, back and forth same damn thing.

Why not just make the character permanently armored and speedy? Oh yeah, because it would suck. Yeah, and thats why the nanosuit abilities suck.
Its not fun to be able to run up to an enemy like some gimped cheater.
Its not fun to be able to withstand 20 hits to the head when an enemy goes down in 1.
It sucks. I dont want to be a superhero that completes the game because the abilities were there so a 10 year old wouldnt start to cry after failing the first mission.
I want to complete the game because i play well, aim well, use cover well.
Bring on CoD4.

you have good points there, baleur. But to see if it is fun or not the game has to be played.
Seeing that they already released one very enjoyable game I bet that they balanced it out with the nano-suit, so you cant take advantage all the time and that every setting has its own drawbacks. If not, it might suck really hard.

Alot of games already had "special powers" like the nano-suit ones and it didnt ruin the game for me, it enhanced it. Think of the max payne slo-mo, or the high-speed attacks in halo with the light-sword or speed-kills in prince of persia 3, just to name a few.

In my opinion FPS often feels already like you re superman, because you kill like 10.000 people without dying. So having that ability to rambo around like a motherfucker explained by a high-tech gadget (e.g. master chief's suit in halo) makes killing off and survive wave after wave of enemies actually more realistic in my book.

What i want to say with the above is, that we ll have to wait and see if it s fun. And from my point of view it still feels like it ll be a great game.

Relying only on your weapon is kinda old concept. We've played it a million times already. Need something more interesting. Also Crysis doesnt force you to use your suit. You can still play the game in Far Cry style. Also look at Bioshock, the game has tons of superpowers, but its still fun. If you want a realistic game - play Arma, thats what I call real fun dying from one bullet.

nice to mention arma, because i stopped playing it after being frustrated by constant death in one level. It s more rewarding if the difficulty is higher, but you also need more patience.

edit: in farcry there were also some fucked up levels where the jump in difficulty made me lay off finishing it for months (the fucking boat-level against the helicopter and the unarmed run through mutant-land and the end-level...)

All you had to do is to die in the level 6 times and AI becomes less agressive. :P But yeah, FC had a lot of hard spots, hard even on the easiest level. Also I asked Crytek a lot of stuff to be implemented in Crysis, what you see now is partialy my fault. :)

the boat thing was still finishable, the mutant-run too. But the last level was a bitch and i died over a hundred times before i stopped and searched for a trainer... ...and the ending wasnt even worth the hundred deaths there really
