Well, it'd be a really nice birthday present for me. July has been a draught for gaming (World in Conflict beta is pretty good though).
It'd be smart for them to pump Crysis into people's veins before Bioshock gets out, so they can grab the "I can only buy 1 game" crowd.

While my opinion of Crysis (as a game, not the tech marvel) has degraded with every movie they have release over the last months, everytime I watch a new movie of Bioshock just makes me want it more and more.

Cause Crysis is an eye-candy vanilla shooter. Bioshock is in a totally different league.

The freedom offered in Crysis is fairly unique itself, just in terms of how interactive and open the environment is.

I played Far Cry on my GF2. I was happy with it, it ran fine. Then I bought an SM2 card and again it ran fine. Same will be with Crysis.

and second thing - i dont understand the nanosuit hate.. what gives? |
Personal preference on my end, can't speak for the others. It was cool to begin with but all a sudden the suitmakes you super man. Super Jump, Super Speed, Super cloaking no one can see me in front of them, Super Accuracy, Super Strength...they over did it. Watching the videos you have somewhat of a "energy bar" before you can use it again and doesn't seem like it takes very long to come back before you can use something again. Some of the abilities are just ridiculous. There better damn well be an ending sex scene with a super facial

well i agree that if i were making a game, id probably make it a bit more realistic by toning down the suit effects and not making them so over the top, but come on... atleast its not the usual 'pick up the glowing invisibility orb', 'youve found some steroids that give you super strength!' or 'grab the unlimited ammo powerup' rubbish... im pretty sure that there will be some kind of limits imposed or the enemies will be suitably tough to balance it out.. should atleast reserve final judgement till youve played it, not just seems some demos... give it a chance

Definately will be buying it, no matter how many people hate the nano suit, it's personal opinion, not a fuckin bitch fest of who can give as much shit to the Super-abilities(people try to hard for a cookie these day's), but i'm personally waiting for Assasin's Creed, 3 Finger's 1 Thumb, and a fucking switchblade For The Win!,
Peace V.H.

Bioshock has never interested me, This is my opinion it looks far too cartoony for my liking. Theres another thing that bothers me about Bioshock, I really cant describe it but its like first person viewin the game feels so .....confined, I cant fully describe what I mean, its just a sense really. I'll take picking up a korean by the neck and chucking him into the beautiful ocean and watch him get eaten by a shark than a corridor doom 3esque shooter with magic powers anyday.

well, the PR for Farcry also tried to use that reasoning and when playing the game it seemed more open than it really was as you also had to do things pretty much in a certain way to get to the next objective. I guess with Crysis it ll be kinda the same, that there is a lot more freedom in comparison to the super linear shooters of the past, but will also be somewhat linear too despite the fact, that it gives one the feeling of more subjective freedom. Else too many degrees of openess would be very problematic considering the narrative structure of a game like that.
But since Farcry was a great game and i hugely enjoyed it, i cant imagine how they d not make an even better game with Crysis =)
