The game doesn't support AA... It's is like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. engine, that didn't support AA because of deferred shading, and not even with GeForce series 8 cannot be turned on.

It has an option to smooth edges ingame. It's no AA but it's better then nothing.

And that smooth edges looks awful for me. I have turned off it immediately. Looks better without it.

Well I dunno about GRAW, but STALKER has a form of fake Anti-Aliasing which does work with full dynamic lighting and the whole shebang, but you have to enable it by console command. It's not the same as MSAA, but it does the job quite well.

I´ve been searching the internet for a decent trainer for this game (tired of being gunned down by stationary weapons which kills you in one hit) but where ever I go there is a subscription fee I have to pay to be allowed access to these trainers.... that´s bad imo...
Where has the world come to when you have to pay to cheat ?

Jup.
I had to replay 4 times until I finally had a chance to progress. Otherwise I could only select Back To Menu.

Anyone else experiencing weird NON fps related stutter? Every few seconds or so the game freezes for split second.

There is a rumour circulating that someone in this thread is actually paying for some stupid trainers ?
Does anyone know if there is any truth to that ?

Yep. I have some kind of that problem on my rig. Game freezes for about 5 seconds, sound continues. After 5 seconds the game goes on like nothing happened.

Any chance you're using Vista? I start to believe it has something to do with it.

I think it was cheathappens.com that charges one money for getting trainer some weeks before others.

Yeah, I do pay CH. There is another site that forces you to pay to download their trainers. Name is gamehacking.co.uk. I do NOT pay them.
CH is quite cool if you ask me. Reverse Engineering is not meant for n00bs like me. Whatever you think of me, I don't give a damn.
I do not use vista. I have XP+SP2 running. But my rig is crap. A64 3400+, 1gig RAM, 6800GS.

been playing this game for a while like 2hr, its really great game, the gfx are = 360 if not better, yes i played both versions, is much better then the first graw1. A.I its great, and yes it has flaws too, sometimes is really stupid, and AA doesnt work, its a shame..because the game would look even better.

Perhaps it's dependant on the difficulty level, didn't even notice it the first time I checked the options and went trough the first few missions on the "Regular" level after I managed to solve that BSOD issue.
(Had to turn of shadows and set shadow resolution to 0 in order to fix it.)
Ofcourse even on "Regular" the game should offer better AI than it currently does since I've been in quite a few situations where the enemy soldiers don't really notice me or ignore me completely untill I shoot a few of them.
Guess I'll have to restart the game on hardcore or whatever the top difficulty was called and see if it does anything about the AI.

so is the AI different to first GRAW? never played it much but I found the enemy seemd to be quite alive and accurate whenever I came from behind cover.

You're right: it's a fake AA, NOT MSAA (it's like the "smooth edges" options in GRAW)
UE3 can't do AA in DX9 because of def shad, but only in DX10 mode, via shaders

What GRAW 2 (and 1 for that matter) taught me:
* Mexicans are stupid, and in Mexico, everything looks like it's made of dried up guacamole.
* The very best secret ops soldiers the US army has to offer can't jump one foot ledges if their life depended on it
* For that matter, they can't find their way to the other side of an empty street if there's a little rubble in their way
* Folding chairs are to be avoided at all cost, since trying to push one to the side will result in you getting permanently stuck
* Enemy positions are always watching over the exact route that you have to take to reach an objective
* Don't think the rebels won't shoot the driver of your evac vehicle in the face in the middle of a cut scene. They know that, after that, they can shoot up your vehicle and your buddies for eternity, with you watching helplessly (until you do a force restart of the game).
This kind of gameplay would've been decent in 1999, but post F.E.A.R. and FarCry, no major publisher should even think about releasing crap like GRAW 2.
