write everything what did you do |
Finished first mission.. Started second mission.. died, quit.. started the savegame.. finished 2nd mission (with all team mates).. Played again and completed the mission - the game will still not advance me to the 3rd mission.. |
I also had that problem. One of my teammates died and I kinda got myself in a bad situation so I decided to restart the mission. So I did, but as it turns out I started the mission as a Single mission and not as part of the campaign.
The autosaves of that single mission are then called single blah blah instead of mission 2 blah blah, and if you finish the second mission as single mission as I did then you will not advance to the third one.
So I went back and loaded one of the autosaves called mission 2 something where one of my teammates was already dead and when I finished the mission then it worked fine.

@maxiepaxie
It's not that. You just made it sound like no special forces ever used cover or suppress. And suppresive fire is certainly not the same as blind fire.

By default, if you don't have a graphics card with 512MB or more of Video RAM (VRAM) onboard, you will not be able to select High for the Texture Quality in-game video settings. However, if you want to force GRAW 2 to use High Texture Quality (See In-Game Settings for a visual comparison), regardless of your graphics card, set every variable starting with "texture_quality_" to have a value = "high". Alternatively, you can simply select particular visual components to assign a Texture Quality of High. For example, you may wish to only force high for characters, vehicles and weapons. Using High Texture Quality may cause a decrease in FPS, and more importantly an increase in loading times and in-level stutter, which is why it's normally meant for cards with higher amounts of VRAM. |
|
I did. You were saying one CAN'T HAVE high texture quality on a non-512mb card. I proved you wrong. One just CAN'T SELECT the option INGAME.

Tried messing with some sound acceleration but it didn't help, eventually i tried just putting audio on low + software, and then it worked.
Pretty odd though.

It's really not that hard The AI is the stupiest I've seen. Blood II The Chosen had smarter AI, at least THEYD move. GRAW 2...well..I did an interview with one of the AI's and this is what he had to say...
oh hey..look at that....those people aren't supposed to be here,Im not going to move though, no wait gotta be conspicuous............I know.....I'll lean to the side...ahhhhh there we go, now there totally confused, but do I shoot them? nah, they have guns too, they might shoot me, that would hurt a lot, I might even bleed a little. so mabye with me leaning to the side like an idiot as if something was blocking my view....they'll think I was a lama.
ahhh, sent this to grin and am posting it on the official forums

Just so you know, you were and have been the WORST developer I have ever seen and why on allah's name UBI gave such a wonderful franchise to a bunch of talentless kids with NO experience on any REAL games is beyond me. Your AI is among some of the stupid and dumbest I've ever witnessed. Blood II The Chosen even had smarter AI, at least THEY would move at you to kill you. Ohhhh no no, cause apparently terrorists sitting in a city taking it over are just have that much lack of training that when they see some operatives moving through the area that don't belong there, they just stand there watching them walk by as if they were afraid to be shot. AI apparently can't step over a rock in the middle of the road due to it being bad luck? Is that a new fad? Oh but it gets better....moving your AI out ahead of you for tactic planning is the BIGGEST contradiction I have ever witnessed. Why? Well the term stealth and TACTIC go well together are are irrelevant seeing as in order for your ghost to do anything they have to be out in the open and in site of the stupid AI...oh no god forbid they peek out of the corner once in a while and fire at the targets.
Am I done? Nope, not at all, since when the hell has the color brown been a realistic color added by a shitty amount of bloom? I'm pretty sure people down in Mexico can back me up on this that Mexico..when your looking around..is in fact not brown. Or are these Ghost operatives wearing brown tinted contacts to keep the sun out of their eyes and are less intrusive than sunglasses?
Oh lets not forget in the real world, once you select a weapon with no silencer, you don't have the option to put it on, and vice versa of course. Because all those pockets on their cloths and vest are just for juice boxes and maybe the sandwich their mom's packed them.
You apparently didn't take notice on the mistakes of such on the first game. One reason and I do point out boldly is...wow..10 missions, whew, good thing I didn't have a boring day, with such stupid AI I thought it would take me all week to finish the game.
I do commend you on the load out screen for selecting gear, at least you guys did that well on a game that has virtually been named GRAW 1.5 since well..the only thing you guys really did was slightly optimize the performance...since that brown color and shitty bloom is so over used.
To the left of this extremely small white box you gave me to type in, I notice the words "for our current project (which I assume would be your graw games) we refer to the official forms." I'm really sure you do, if you did such a unheard of and crazy thing you would have seen all the complaints from the first one about the donkey intelligent AI and maybe...just maybe, instead of focusing on Mexico looking brown, you could have maybe made our Ghost operatives seem like they at least graduated high school and weren't recruited middle school drop outs.

hahaha, i remember in the second mission, after taking out the last artillery a chopper landed to provide my extraction point.
I was going down there and sent my squad along with it, then while i'm running to the chopper i see this soldier crouching in front of me and running past me, first i thought it was one of my ghost soldiers, but then i saw he was an enemy
He just continued to walk past me until i just shot him in the back.

I dont think this is the "real" game or i hope its not and thats probably why its so buggy with bad ai and whatever. Hopefully the real game will be less buggy.

Why not?, It might need some patches, but I think its as real as it gets. Patches are anyway getting the standard procedure nowdays, out with the game fast and fix it later.

well um... I played it quite a bit now. no crashes, no bugs. sure, the AI is not perfect, but what game has perfect AI anyway?
I'm having fun with this game and it's definitely just fine as it is now.
Please don't treat this game like a bugridden release like gothic or silent hunter that needs patches to be really playable.

GRAW2 usese "deferred shading" as HDR and this is incompatible with MSAA: you can't activate AA with this game (same thing with GRAW and S.T.A.L.K.E.R., when you activate dynamic illumination (total or objects makes no diffrence), and all games that will use UE3).
Actual vga/driver doesn't support MSAA with this tipe of HDR: ATI or nVidia it's the same

Deferred Shading has nothing to do with HDR. It is a rendered technique that achieves better batching and a more optimized rendering pipeline.
Both STALKER and UE3 titles uses methods of anti-aliasing that is compatible with deferred shading.
