What the hell?! No Sopranos Final Episode thread?!!!

Anyway, this is it!

I think Tony's gonna live, AJ will kill some rivals and get shot in the process, Paulie will also live. Silvio will survive another assassination attempt. Phil is going down big time, and doctor Melfi will blame herself for abandoning Tony at such a rough patch.

Just my 2 cents.

AJ kill someone? In his current state? Fuhgeddaboudit. I think Tony will get whacked and Phil will be uberboss. Clearing the way for a spin-off series called "The Leotardos". Or maybe the Leonardos.Very Happy

The way I see it is someone has to rat out on their boss now since both sides don't know where their holed up. I don't think Paulie is going to rat out Tony because he doesn't have anybody else.

The audience want to see Tony go because he's whacked way too many crowd favorites like Adriana and Chris. But the story writer might want to go some other way to leave his mark or do the unexpected.

At first I was like wtf with the ending. Then I've grown to like it. Everyone needs to be spoon fed these days. They need things to go out with a bang or a big conclusion. I'm glad Sopranos did something different.

Did anyone else think one of the patrons in the diner looked like Robert Patrick (the guy who lost his sporting goods business to Tony due to his gambling addiction)? Anyway, my thoughts on the show:

I think it was a pathetic attempt to be different just for the sake of being different. Yes, I am not a genius and have to be spoon-fed everything and I don't get the deeper meaning of this ending. A good story should have a good end. None of this fancy 'make up your own' crap.

Loved the way Phil got whacked though. Very Happy

A slip of the tongue has finally confirmed a lingering question about one of the most famous TV endings of all time – “The Sopranos”.

Quote:
Now The Independent reports that”The Sopranos” creator David Chase let the answer slip during an interview for his book “The Sopranos Sessions”. Chase has been asked about that ending numerous times in the past and has always chosen his words carefully and played it very ambivalent – leaving the moment up to interpretation.

In a new roundtable discussion though, co-author Alan Sepinwall asked Chase: “When you said there was an end point, you don’t mean Tony at Holsten’s [the diner], you just meant, ‘I think I have two more years’ worth of stories left in me.'”

Chase responded: “Yes, I think I had that death scene around two years before the end … But we didn’t do that.” Co-author Matt Zoller Seitz caught that distinction and said: “You realize, of course, that you just referred to that as a death scene.” Chase, realising his mistake, quickly replied: “F - - k you guys.”
