It seems the heroes introduced in War3, and thus shops, items, creeps, experience and the "micro" aren't back in SC2.
Am I the only one thinking it'd be a step DOWN if they are not including this ? I mean it was genius back then in 2002... I don't want another C&C !

Yeah it's a step back, but it looks like Blizz only cares about one thing - satisfying hard core SC fans Koreans. This reminds me of CS:Source very much, updated GFX but everything else pretty much remains the same. Milking the cow.

I agree but remember War3 was lots of improvements over War2 and not another "CSS". Yep, CSS is crap, I was bored with CS, so CSS wasn't for me. Forgot completely about CS and CSS awhile ago now.
But I think you are right : now Blizzard just wanna satisfy poor koreans so they can comments games in live, which they couldn't that much with War3...
And no new races ? what was Blizzard thinking ? It's the first time i'm disappointed with the announcement of one of their game...

I'm a fan of War3 gameplay : do I have to wait for War 4 then ? So we, war3 players are forgotten ? I'm pretty sure i'm not the only one there who wants to have a gameplay similar to war3 and NOT StarCraft, ie C&C, AOE...
Noticed dark templars can now blink... Wow ! that is some micro...

Did Starcraft have great graphics? nope
Did World of Warcraft have great graphics? nope
Did Diablo 2 have great graphics? nope
they were all good but not great and still, they are all great games (if you like the genre)
Starcraft 2 will also be a great game, because all blizzard gamess ever created were extremely successful.
And it's also great that this isn't gonna be a micro-fest ala warcraft 3. There will be a warcraft 4 in a few years for sure and it will satisfy the warcraft 3 fans for sure, but for now it's time for the starcraft fans to get what they want, and that is not heroes, micro or creeping...

Yeap...they all had great graphics for they're time. My main problem with Starcraft 2 is that it looks, at it's current stage, like Warcraft 3 mode. If you look closely u can see that it uses the same God damn engine.
Either Blizzard is lacking talented programmers or this is a pre pre pre alpha stage. I loved Warcraft 3 at the time of it's release but come on Blizzard can't u come up with a new up to date engine. Even a 2D polished one would do better than this.
And let's not forget that Starcraft is still one of the best played games. Hope they at least try to make it look different and not bombard us with impressive CGI made cutscenes. They should spend that time improving the core feel and look of the game.

WoW never had any great grafics, not even when it was realesed.

Seriously, this is EXACTLY how a good starcraft mod for Warcraft 3 would look. This is not what I expected for Starcraft 2. Also, what's up with all the Korean bullshit ?
This is so disappointing, I truly hope (never thought I'd say this) that Blizzard delay and delay and delay this POS until they turn it into the impressive epic suitable for this great franchise. This Starcrap 2 is like a humourless hoax ...

Well Blizzard never failed to deliver. Even with WoW, we have to admit it.
My oh my that gameplay trailer, just watching those dozens of Zergs brings back alot of nostalgia.
I'm sure the game will be great!!

Have you looked at the gameplay vids I posted ? This isn't a POS, lots of NEW things you can't find in any game atm are in. Blizzard have great ideas we don't !
This looks like another success IMO. They manage to bring new cool things into the RTS type which is pretty hard considering how old this type is.
