well i know some games like nfsu2,nfsmw have some patches to redirect saves in to the main game folder, may only work with no-cd .exe's tho

go to gamecopy and see if they have any

i myself always back up my saves, even if your os crashed My docs is almost always intact so reinstall os without reformat and get your saves/files back

I use petty lil viruses as an excuse to reinstall windows even if it's something so easy to get rid of, I hate reinstallign so I wont do it any other time

Your "my documents" folder is actually contained in your profile folder under Documents and Settings. There's several tips out there on moving profiles to another drive. Just google "change documents and settings location"

Should be an option when you install games. Just as you get to decide where to put the game itself it should ask where you want your savegames. Not that anyone would want them anywhere other than the game-directory.

That's not really the problem.

I've already moved the profile folder and the "my documents" folder to a drive separated from windows.

The problem is that game companies keep creating folders in "My Documents", it get's clogged up when you've got a couple games installed.

I've got four games installed now and three of them has created folders inside "My Documents".
