Uh, what? Your reply would make sense if it looked like "The lack of AA is a minus. But ffs, its a 2D Adventure game, who cares."

Nope. I don't plan to upgrade until more of the DX10 gfx cards are on the market. I'll try this game again once I have a DX10 card. Upgrading to another DX9 card right now is a waste of money. I've already gone through many gfx cards:

3DFX Voodoo
Geforce 3
ATI 9700
ATI X800

If you add up the costs, I've spent over $800 on gfx cards alone. Somebody is getting rich. Sad

I do feel for people with X8** cards, they're good enough for pretty much every other game right now - with DX10 card around the corner it's a pain to have to upgrade now and again in a few months, 'course there's the GF 8800, but your average person won't shell out for a card at that price.

8800GTS is actually quite affordable and should be good enough for 1 - 1.5 years.

Affordable but not a justifiable purchase considering how quickly prices come down these days.

Dont nuke your copy of Vegas yet though. Some people have asked the developers to see if they can make a patch to allow Shader 2.0 cards. Who knows if they will do that.

They won't. UE3 does not support anything below DX9. That is complete DX9 support, not that half-ass, X800 DX9 support you have.

Oh, and please, go on and convince yourself your card is more than capable of running games. Laughing

Just bad choice of cards maybe... look at it this way, if you where into consoles you could have spent $600 on a ps3 alone!

many of those who bemoan the price of a good gfx card think nothing of spending that same money either on cigs or alcohol in a six month period(or drugs too).

moral of the storey, be healthy and have a mega spec pc. Very Happy

yeah I went out & bought this game today as well. Single player is fun I love the impact of a sniper rifle in the skull. Anyway Multiplayer is the shit & the game itself is worth the buy just for that. Graphics are great as well.

Haha, yeah i know how stupid that sounds. Well if there are any games that you don't have to look at the gfx all day i don't think its that important with AA. So more in games like oblivion where you have time to just look at the nature Razz

You sure u running the latest version of DT there, V4.08 ?
And the latest YAZU, V1.05 ?

Works just fine here!. But if not...

Method I
1. Disable Cdrom/DVDrom Drives from Device Manager (IDE)
2. Run Yasu 1.04
3. Play

Method II
1. Click Start->Run->regedit
2. Go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices
and rename (F2 after selecting a key) all your virtual !AND! real dvd drives to whatever you want.
\\DosDevices\\L: ---> \\DosDevices\\L:BlahBlah
\\DosDevices\\M: --> \\DosDevices\\M:qwerty
3. Then just start the game (youll need to do this everytime after you restart your PC.)

Above methods where all found within the last 2 pages in the R6LV Tech thread... Wink

Thnx Cox!
I'm running DT 4.08HE and Y.A.S.U. 1.05.....

Will give both methods a try 2night.
Method 2 can off course be preset in a .reg file, making changing the stuff a lot quicker Smile
