I do feel for people with X8** cards, they're good enough for pretty much every other game right now - with DX10 card around the corner it's a pain to have to upgrade now and again in a few months, 'course there's the GF 8800, but your average person won't shell out for a card at that price.

8800GTS is actually quite affordable and should be good enough for 1 - 1.5 years.

Affordable but not a justifiable purchase considering how quickly prices come down these days.

They won't. UE3 does not support anything below DX9. That is complete DX9 support, not that half-ass, X800 DX9 support you have.
Oh, and please, go on and convince yourself your card is more than capable of running games.

yeah I went out & bought this game today as well. Single player is fun I love the impact of a sniper rifle in the skull. Anyway Multiplayer is the shit & the game itself is worth the buy just for that. Graphics are great as well.

Patch + latest YASU don't work for me...
Thnx |
You sure u running the latest version of DT there, V4.08 ?
And the latest YAZU, V1.05 ?
Works just fine here!. But if not...
Method I
1. Disable Cdrom/DVDrom Drives from Device Manager (IDE)
2. Run Yasu 1.04
3. Play
Method II
1. Click Start->Run->regedit
2. Go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices
and rename (F2 after selecting a key) all your virtual !AND! real dvd drives to whatever you want.
\\DosDevices\\L: ---> \\DosDevices\\L:BlahBlah
\\DosDevices\\M: --> \\DosDevices\\M:qwerty
3. Then just start the game (youll need to do this everytime after you restart your PC.)
Above methods where all found within the last 2 pages in the R6LV Tech thread...
