					| Played now 5 hours straight with no crashes (burned, no alc., DT4 rmps enabled VDs = 0), the game is rocking my socks so far. having a blast letting the core golem punch the snot out of my enemies and piercing them from behind with my arrows. I know the combo is not uber but thats for fun. I had it with grinding for T2 items and uberpowersupercombos. This baby here is pure joy.
[edit - And the sounds AC97 onboard so this would rule out the crashes being AC97 related. At least theres one machine where tahts not applicable...]

How to get it to run without burning:

 1) Mount .mds in DT4
 2) Turn on RMPS emulation only
 3) Use Pr0t.St0p to hide the virtual drive(s)
 4) Titan Quest.exe -> Right click -> Properties -> Compatibility [x] Win98/ME [x] Disable Visual Themes [x] Turn off advanced text services for this program
 5) asr.exe -> Titan Quest.exe

One or more steps might be unneeded, but I can't be arsed to figure that out now. It works for me, it may work for you, and that's what's important.

					| Played for about 2 hours without crashing. I don't have a120 installed, I mounted in DT, all emu options off, started prot stop, and opened through ASR.

That's it. It runs flawlessly with this way.
Any other crap such as turning on/off emulation or hiding virtual drive is NOT needed.

					| Are you using multiprocessor configuration? In this case, please, edit file Settings\defaults.txt - forceSingleProcessorMode = true (also you must edit or delete file "My Documents\My Games\Titan Quest\Settings\options.txt". This solve most of problems.

You need to burn this one.

 STEP 1

 -Use latest alcohol 120%
-Open up the Image Burning wizard
 -Choose the Titan Quest Image
 -Tick to "ON" RMPS
 -Leave everything else as is
 -Press Start and Burn

 STEP 2

 -Uninstall Alcohol
-Right Click on the Daemon Tool tray Icon and choose "Disable Device" in Virtual CD/DVD Rom
-Tick to "ON" RMPS Emulation on the Daemon Tool tray Icon

 STEP 3

-Install Game with the dvd you just burned
-Keep the disk into your Drive after Installation
 -Start the game and Play
 -Enjoy

 Cheers!!

					| For the last 2 pages everything has been more or less repeated. What would be really interesting to find out, is if the retail version without a crack has as many problems as with the crack, or not. | |

Same problem. Crash after about 15-30 minutes.

					| The crash has nothing to do with asr.exe
It's just game's own problem. Only patch would solve it.

If that would be true, why does the game work when it's burned and why doesn't it with asr or prot stop?

 It's the protection!
