My 11 girl, cut her finger making a mothers day gift. 2 hours at the emergency room to get five stitches. It is never fun going to the emergency room at the hospital. Sad to see people in pain waiting to get treatment.
This same daughter broke her arm when she was 5, now that was a hellish night. Kids sure can stress up a parent.

She was making a candle, and was using a knife to cut up old candles to melt down.
My kids think it is funny when I get stressed out.

You know what you should do.
When she's all grown up and you are the fragile old man, break your own arm and cut your own finger, let her be stressfull about you in the emergency room then. Even steven.

I hope you didn't yell at her.
2hrs waiting is pretty good. Here it at least 4 hrs. Just a little while ago woman had to wait 14 hrs for a broken leg. I personally have never waited less than 6 hrs.
Breaking arms is never fun I have broken my arm 6 different times (No compounds). The first broken arm (grade 2) my dad was soooo pissed at me he was screaming louder then me and throwing things around the room. He had big skiing plans but he still went.

Iv only broken a tooth...
But about sons and daughters; i just read an article about an 12 year old boy who went for a swim(alone) and they found him dead later. And it was the families 2nd tragedy. Their 2 other daughers(10 and 12 years old) died in the water at an summercamp while they were playing with an bathing ring in 1998. :/
3 kids - all died in the water. Damn unluck? or maybe they have some kind of disease.

There is almost always a wait for non-critical treatments at a emergency room, the serious patients always go first. If you get hurt on a weekday, all you do is goto a walk-in clinic and it takes 30 minutes and all done. Getting hurt on a weekend sucks.

Did this come out of your health insurance?
The only experience I personally have with the A&M room is when I sprained my wrist, I thought it was broken. I didn't have to wait more then an hour which I thought was pretty good on the NHS.
At the weekends though there are so many people who've been injured in alcohol related incidents it's ridiculous.

I went once to the emergency because of REAL high fever, I was in a doctor's office within 5 minutes, and all that for free thanks to the sweet belgian public healthcare :]

We did have to go to the one that was covered under my wifes insurance. Not my first choice.
