Then why don't you ask in the Fifa World Cup 06 Forum? Surely there you'd rather find help than here if it is really a legit game...

Oh goodness, I'm being aggro'ed by some anonymous kiddie over the internet. Now I'm sad.
Anyway, I'd just think that peeps on the official forum might have a similar problem with an original/legit .exe file, so it would be a better place to ask for help than here where people mainly deal with cracked .exe files which are sometimes not working.
But it seems Sublime found a solution. Let us know if it helped.

Well what that error is saying is that instruction at memory location 0x66788c9c allocated meomory @ 0x00a2b000, but could not read this memory location. The numbers are hexadecimal locations of where the instruction/pointer should have been stored.
So i would say
1. Reinstall the game, directx, or video/sound drivers
or
2. You could have bad memory, run an overnight test.
Do you get memory errors running anything else?

I get memory errors running Evolution GT, along with some other programs (even winamp somtimes!) how do you run a memory test?

Well I reformated my computer, I found I was getting this error with other ea sport titles I own aswell, The game works now, thanks for everyones suggestions!
