Elon Musk has said his AI platform Grok Imagine will make a “historically accurate” adaptation of Homer’s Odyssey, after the success of Christopher Nolan’s blockbusting treatment which the SpaceX founder has regularly criticised over its casting.
In a post on X, Musk said: “Before this year ends, Grok Imagine will make a full-length movie of The Odyssey that is historically accurate and true to the art of Homer.” Musk also linked to a post containing a three-minute clip of footage that the user said had been generated from Grok Imagine, showing a scene between Odysseus and the nymph Calypso.
All this was because of the stupid Mel Gibson meme. AI is not yet ready to make good enough feature length films, but at the current rate of progress we should be there in about 1,5 years.

Btw. what happened to that Snow White movie by Daily Wire with "traditional values"? Did it ever come out after that crappy low budget trailer? I don't think so. It's just theatrics, how about they concede that they lost that little part of the culture war. Regarding the Drinker, I actually trust him to be able to give a balanced review of the movie. He's not as deep in the rabbit hole as some other anti woke critics. Guess we'll see.
I see there is a lot of critical drinker bashing going on. I'd just like to leave a tidbit here. I don't quite recall where exactly he said it, maybe it was a drinkers chasers or whatever it is called, where they discussed how profitable the movie will probably be. They kind of all agreed it would be a success financially.
Don't bother, it's easier for some to convince themselves that anyone they hate REALLY said that the movie was going to flop... even when that didn't happen at all. Closest I remember is the CD video a few pages back where he was implying that a few more dislikes than usual on the latest trailer might not be a good sign for the movie.
Which was stupid IMO, but still a far cry from outright saying it's going to flop.

Christopher Nolan said he's only seen the crew applaud an actor on set twice in his career. This first was Heath Ledger as the Joker, the second was Samantha Morton as Circe in THE ODYSSEY.
