I've just started opening long YT videos (documentaries etc) in a local video player (MPC-BE), doesn't seem to have any issues
Same with embeds. I wonder if later on down the road, something could be developed so that when you click on a YT video, it loads on a page in an iFrame and can't do shit about ad blockers.
for me it's worth going whatever lengths necessary to not sit through ads or sponsor bullshit taking up half the video. If all else fails I guess the worst that happens is I finally become more productive instead of slacking on youtube

Not here, on TV and PC its been fine. Well YouTube TV on TV not youtube 'youtube'. We switched to it from cable as its 10x cheaper
But both have been doing OK for us all in the house on both.

Well it's been a fun ride for this channel but in the last months I've been striked for "helping terrorist organizations" and no matter what I do, I cannot get this channel monetized again. Such a shame because i wanted to release the new video in about a week, but now I have to postpone it and get a new channel started.
I'm slowly moving my content to that channel and since bigger portion of my videos are claimed, I will be either cutting them down a bit or straight up remaking compilations so one company doesn't get all the money just because they own a song that I used for about 15 seconds.

I'll work on the look of the channel and add new videos every few days.
New video (about BioShock) will be uploaded once the channel has joined YouTube's Partner Programme.
PS: This channel has been going through a lot of these suspensions/strikes in the past few years, so that's partly a reason why I upload only once/twice a year. Although I have already made some progress on a Stalker video (about Secret Trails 2), I might scrap the intro so I can make a trailer for the new channel.

Man youtube has recently been like a damn broke used car salesman. I glance at something and it wants to sell me on buying it and taking it home..lol
My feed is ALL fucked up with 1/4 of it being 10-30 second long meme bullshit, simply because I opened ONE meme video a younger friend sent me. He's the 'meme collector' type and sends dozens a day in discord. I usually dont open them as not my type of humor.
But man youtube saw me watch one 15 second video of one I thought might be 'puff out the nose' funny. And it assumes I want to watch every fucking random trash channel that that has 100 lame meme videos.
Also, another 1/4 of it is documentaries, interviews, show clips, and such of Gordon Ramsey. Because I watched a single video of his on how to smoke salmon....
I have, with no exaggeration spent the last 45 minutes clicking the 3 dots, and pick don't recommend channel. Refresh page and start at the top again.

Revanced manager is still working for me. Perhaps installing a fresh new apk would work? As for YT:R - there were some changes regarding microG (they switched from the old Vanced microG to a new one), so after installing a newly patched YT it redirected me to microG github to download another apk. There you can log in to your account once more and YT:R will pick it up
From what I gather the new cockblock from youtube is tied to the account, that's why you can still use it in incognito mode and some accounts are still using it just fine. YT basically flagged some accounts as bad boys bad boys what u gonna do.

Had to also DL some gmscore apk because patched utub kept pestering me about it, and also unlike the previous version the patched utub has a regular utub icon, but aside from that everything seems to be working.
Wonder how many months this one will last, last one lasted less than 1 year

you dont even need vanced manager (which never updates correctly anyway in my experience)
just get the revanced extended apk + micro g (will automatically pop up when installing revanced ext)

Make sure the custom branding patch is applied to get the icon back
Also u can remove vanced microg now since gmscore is an updated version of that.
Obviously it allows you to sign in and see the same recommendations and subscription as you would the normal youtube app.
