Absolutely, it was extremely immersive and featured some remarkable tech for its time despite being made on a limited budget. The methodical combat system with proper local dismemberment was cutting-edge, along with the dynamic lighting -- all at the service of exploration-friendly levels free from hand-holding/silly interfaces, and designed exclusively for PC. The good stuff.
Too bad the main inspiration for the new game seems to be Dad of War with all its gamey sub-systems, but then again it's a couch's world.
I literally deleted this game last night after playing it for 75 hours and getting the secret ending! I heard it was a commercial flop so wasn’t expecting anything more from it yet the ending leaves it open for more! Loved my time with it and it’s a criminally underrated game in my opinion and I will happily reinstall it for new content. IGN 5/10 BTW!
