This game's "wanted" system is complete fucking garbage. Do they really expect me to believe that some random peasant woman, who wipes her ass with her right hand, is illiterate, and doesn't have so much as a pot to piss in is going to give two shits that she saw me walk by a guard that then fell over dead? And even if she did, nobody would have believed her.
TLDR - Every civilian peasant in the game now counts as a credible witness apparently. Don't remember the other entries in the series being so anal about this mechanic.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

on ruskie site they're talking about a taiwan vpn 7 day uplay free trial, requires payment method.
apparently ubi are on it so don't expect it to work
not worth the hassle imo
Yea that's true if I remember. They were more compact.
But last 3 games were so fucking huge for no reason. I think I locked in about 40-50 hours WITH teleporting on Valhalla and I don't think I finished some of the DLC either..
What a load of bullshit. This is disingenuous as fuck, first the dude tries to climb a non-climbable tree (Anyone that's played an AC game by now knows which trees are climbable and which trees aren't) then the muppet keeps doing the sprint assassination animation which is the same in all modern AC games, while only doing regular assassinations in unity. You can get regular assassinations in Mirage too by just not sprinting into enemies to assassinate them. Then he shows off a couple of grappling bugs, completely ignoring how much climbing in unity sucked ass.
Im more shocked about the fact that game from 9 years ago looks exactly the same as game released today or even better, but what you can expect from modern devs its all about quick cash grab.
indeed, the bugs aside as every AC suffered of the same issues here in there like hanging on invisible ledges, the game overall looks really bland in compersion and i really like origins.
Also, the lighting in Unity is all pre-baked with no day/night cycle (permanent daytime with the exception of a few missions in select areas), unlike Mirage.

That was a stylistic choice, not an engine limitation. It was not pre-baked. Unity had one of the first game engines to feature full PBR lighting implementation. Syndicate used basically the same engine, and had full day-night cycles.
For example, see here, night to dawn:
The engine in Unity was one of the most advanced engines for its time. And like most engines, if not all, that transitioned to a PBR pipeline, it was very rough in the first few iterations. But all the basics were there right from Unity.
I've been talking about this for a long fucking time
also Unity had the worst stealth mechanics, you couldn't even distract guards properly, you either forced them to detect you or threw around bombs, no whistling, no throwing stones or whatever
in fact AC unity had one gameplay loop, fighting enemies with the sword and throwing smoke bombs
graphically and gameplay wise it was the GTA4 of AC games and was well ahead of its time, great physics and graphics
if they remastered it by just allowing higher res, had some higher res textures and made the LODs/view distance less restrictive it would basically look like a current gen game
but not feel like it
but at least they had the microtransactions down in this game!
syndicate right after played and looked like shit again
I don't think Syndicate looks shit (and it ran much, much better than Unity did before all the graphical gimping). Maybe the terrible screen-space reflections which were constantly present due to London weather, but those look equally terrible everywhere they are used, including modern games. But other than that, you could claim the art style might not be as interesting as Unity or other games, but it wasn't "shit", it was just London.

syndicate was a downgraded mess that made ubisoft pull the plug on anual releases or whatever it was and reboot with origins

Origins was in production before they announced they are freezing AC after Syndicate tanked. It took longer because they changed the whole system into a GAAS garbage. Don’t fall for PR stunts.
but also took longer cuz of all the backlash it got back to back, unity was a big mess that couldnt run properly on a very high system and they couldnt optimize it cuz no time as they were already working on the next one, then syndicate was downgraded to fix that but was a boring mess...so they also took extra time to polish even if origins wasnt perfect still it wasnt syndicate
@StEFaN7 You really cannot say Origin was "optimized" while Syndicate was "dumbed down". The world of Origin was fundamentally a lot simpler world than Unity was, so of course it ran better. A year later, Wildlands came out and, again, had performance issues, because the world was much more complex than Origin.
