Either they fucked up pretty bad again or just released some non public test version.

Im not trying to defend here Nvidia, but bashing it because you can't run it is just retarded, also those videos with 300% zoom and slow motion pixel by pixel shit is retarded, most of the stuff you are not going to even notice, games have shit loads of visual glitches without RT on these on aswell. |
Basically, they should not have been running this DLSS-beta test that doesn't need users for years on end. The technology is immature at best and it's now becoming the bandaid a lot of devs will fall upon instead of optimizing. Now you know why we're crying.
To each his own, if you're very happy we can't run games natively any more and just need to squint our eyes a little to ignore the obvious ghosting and artifacts smearing the screen, all the power to you dude. |
the normal dlss is just a better looking taa. people ran on taa even before dlss, cuz without it game would look like a total aliasing mess. it looks just as good as native now with free performance boost. whats not to like? means i can keep my old gpu a little longer. and there is no smearing or artifacts with this except on very rare cases which u can fix with a dll swap anyway
but raytracing is no gimmick, it will take years to play these games at native but the fact that u can play with it totay is a big win regardless. i dont see amd pushing tech, they can bearly keep up. not trying to defend nvidia either but im always for pushing tech forward
I can see your soul at the edges of your eyes..

Is it PT without RR vs PT with RR or RT normal without RR sv PT with RR in your pics? |
It's completely maxed out in both, with PT. One screen is with RR and one without
When you watch the comparisons on Youtube, is it full screen? Do they have scenes at the same size I have there? Any screenshot comparisons? That's a 1:1 crop from the game. I've yet to see any example where it looks better than without it |
Yes and yes. Both screenshots and videos. You can also check yourself there’s a ton already out there. It shouldnt look that way. I’ll check in 3 days or so when phantom liberty comes out in same spots as your screenshots but either way something is borked.
Ps; 1 to 1? You’re at 32:9 ? Didnt check the res. If so, might have something to do with that. I remember dlss being bad at ultrawide initially , so maybe its same with superultrawide?

Meh(n), the open world still feels... empty.
Tons of mindless NPCs roaming around with no goal / purpose, nothing to interact with (can't pick any object from the environment), nothing unexpected happening, everything is predictable (if you want action just move to certain marker on the map).
RDR2 spoiled me.

Much pleasure can be found simply exploring and contemplating these virtual worlds + admiring the carefully crafted details.
This can be also considered a form of 'gameplay'.

RDR 1 or 2 were anything but abysmal. I enjoyed them very much, both in the storyline and off, goofing around. The world is full of interesting instances and random events and characters. The only thing that can get jarring is the eating and showering requirements. They tried something similar in GTA:SA, and it was jarring there too.
None of this can be said about this 2077 turd. The world is pointless and feels empty, despite there being so much shit in it. It's a lifeless, buggy, terrible experience.

2.0 isn't a No Man's Sky kind of comeback. It has some nice additions, but many of the same bugs and issues still exist. I've done nothing but roam the city on foot after breaking out of the initial intro quests, testing AI and messing around with the new systems. I don't want to start it properly until the DLC arrives.
I guess I have to claim it's still a great game before the zealots chime in, but I expected more after 3 years.

It's a 1:1 scale screenshot (not bigger/smaller), then cropped

That denoising thing - I get it but I figured out what option is causing it. Every time I launch the game RR is re-enabled and I have to disable it. If I don't, that shitty effect covers certain surfaces (if not the whole screen)
Something's up with that option and I can't make it stay disabled for good. I'm thinking it's being half enabled/disabled each time, which also messes up the effects RR is supposed to help with.

Waiting for an update to this mod to fix that. Crazy that such simple things still aren't toggles. The guy has even made an in-game menu for it:

Look at the ghosting on the 'POLICE' text over the car, and the cop's face. I'm not really buying that this is just me

So, with regards to the ghosting on the text - are you sure that's an RR specific thing? I have the same ghosting issue with on the starting car's spedometer readout when driving in first person view, and I don't have access to any of those fancy new features.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

Not sure anything wrong per se, for all intents and purposes, it's just an experimental feature, rushed by Nvidia to capitalize on DLC release and the hype surrounding the game right now.
