Bethesda isn't going to do anything other than coast on unpaid modders fixing their game for them.

That's the game they always wanted to release. They just needed 3 more years.

Reinstalled and replayed this a bit...

Hm, the world still feels kinda empty and bit artificial. Not much to do, not much to interact with besides the POIs from the map.

If you only go in focus-mode for the story and some side-quests, it's probably great. But... I wonder if CD Red made any changes to make the world feel more... surprising / unpredictable / alive.

I doubt it, though.

Yeah, I suspect as much.

It's a unique world / environment (especially with RTX + HDR on) but... it lacks so much interactivity.

As a relatively... 'shallow' comparison, in Bethesda games you can:

• hear NPC conversations MUCH more often (random, unexpected)
• some quests are started via NPC conversation (random, unexpected event)
• can pick up objects in the world (and throw them around / at NPCs for various degrees of outcomes)
• see NPCs doing various tasks

And these are often pretty well made illusions that bring some life in worlds.

What's that suppose to mean?

That the patch will change these issues?! You don't believe yourself this one either. Rolling Eyes

yeah i dont think cyberpunk is going to become a life sim any time soon
i would settle for a more GTA approach with more road, gang and police interaction, i enjoyed the detail on the cars a lot in cyberpunk and i like blasting people, but cyberpunk couldn't do any sort of random gang warfare and had very little interactivity on the road / with the cars themselves.

unfortunately people are in love with narrative shit right now so i can't imagine any AAA having npc depth beyond random-peds, even BG3 being guilty of it Laughing
it's too bad we never seem to get big expansions in games to fill out these areas, cept maybe bethesda titles (and that's a big maybe).
not nearly enough ultima 6/7s being made instead of narrative/graphical $$ masterpieces.

Last I seriously played it was release time

I enjoyed it immensely, even though it was overhyped and they underdelivered

So long as these new systems actually WORK properly with some BALANCE, it'll be decent enough

Initial game was: get revolver + suppressor + hack ability and steamroll everything

I love it but it's not as it could be

You notice that relatively quickly when you play RDR2 a bit

So much detail and soul

Night City is very unique, large and detailed. But it's not that

Still, just because it's not one thing doesn't stop it from being it's own thing that is still very good

Yes, the spoiler of all open world games: RDR2.

Walking into a store, picking up an item and having the ability to study it in your hand before buying... that's LOVE.

Mobster with a Fag

Atm even Starfield feels so much more immersive than CP2077... Sad

well, isn't it pretty much like Witcher 3, they're not Bethesda level, still i liked Witcher 3 more than Skyrim. I'm 100% sure i will like this more than Starfield.

RDR2.. i have it installed again, and yet again i don't feel that interested in the world. But i agree that some of it is really well made, they understand fine details.

Ofc we liked Witcher 3 more than Skyrim. Actually, didn't like Skyrim at all...

But CP2077 is a first person RPG. Just like... Morrowind. You know, that game that lets you maneuver items around, in the world?

Heck, man. Even Thief GOLD lets you pick up items, move them and throw them around.

I simply like these sorts of interactions in my first person games. Very Happy

Imagine if every studio started trying to top RDR2 on quality and attention to details. If they even managed to do it it would probably take over 10 years to develop a game

Are you a programmer as profession?

Because I find that usually those people tend to see the world in 0s and 1s / or blacks and whites.

No one said it has to be LIKE RDR2. But some minimal interactions with the environment can improve the immersion drastically.
