Yeah careful dodging those free 2 play bullets, lol.
Btw, they cut out the campaign. Well, the red legion thingy. You can still play it, but it's not mandatory, more like a nostalgic throwback.

Can you still get to power level 900+ without Shadowkeep?

Makes sense. "We" could play Worms MP and still have a LOT of fun...

I kept playing to see what it actually has and after 90+ hours so far I'm happy how the game has turned out. There is actually a massive amount of content which is locked until you decide to explore all planets/talk to NPCs/find treasures, etc. Every planet/location has something special to offer.
The best part is 900+ grind and the end game is pretty damn good and stacked with content. There is just so much to do that your quest bar is maxed out. Each planet also has bounties and side stuff to keep you busy for a long time. There are plenty of cool weapons to grind for and some of them have their own quests to get.
Currently, even with 90+ hours and around 920 power, I feel like there is plenty more to discover. The triumphs section is good way to track your overall game progression.
The Gambit is like an improvement over Warframe's index mode with a mix of PvP and boss which is nicely done. The PvP is not my type (it's more towards CoD crowd) but had some fun matches. There is also a (weekly?) fun version of PvP where powers are disabled and everyone has launchers.
The open-world public events could be better as most of them are repeated and gets cleared very fast. Otherwise, so far, so good sadly.
All this F2P version. Yet to check Forsaken and Shadowkeep content. Think I'll get it since the game is super addictive, runs great, has plenty of stuff and plenty more to come apparently.
The old comparison to Warframe was silly. Apart from being F2P, they don't really have anything in common. Both are great in their own regards.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

What's the main difference between Warframe and this game?
Is it less grindy?

Warframe is more about melee combat, Destiny 2 is a shooter.

Everything is different.
Destiny 2 - planets. Each planet is open-world like Warframe's Fortuna and Plains. Rest of the Warframe is more mission/corridor based while Destiny has full open exploration. It also has closed corridor stuff but they have all tied with the open world again. Like how Fortuna basically works except planets are bigger, more alive, and has lots of stuff.
Destiny 2 - weapons. It's 99% guns only while Warframe has a large number of melee weapons. Both have good variety but so far I'll give this to WF because of the variety while not taking visual quality into consideration. Destiny weapons are more flashy fun but most of them have the same feeling while WF doesn't. Exotics are unique though.
Destiny 2 - missions. Again more open world stuff. Missions tied to NPCs/area like WF's Fortuna except more. WF has node types where you go X->clear->exit. Here you have more freedom and variety.
Destiny 2 - crafting. Warframe you can craft pretty much everything and mats have value. Running missions always reward regardless. Destiny 2 rewards crafted items straight. You can farm and get nothing (RNG) or get lucky with drops. WF always rewards either material of weapon/frame parts to craft. In D2, you use mats to level up the faction/NPC level for a random item. Some also require for mods.
Destiny 2 - modding. Doesn't really exist. Very little boost. The gear system is what you see is what you get. In WF, everything is modding. From gear to weapons, grind for mods and mods make things better.
Destiny 2 - grind. Both have a good chunk of a grind but by eliminating material requirement (except some), it feels less grindy than WF where some items have crazy/boring grind. Destiny 2 grind is more of a player doing a set of objectives/quests/solving stuff/clearing challenges for reward while Warframe is straight forward with grind and missions which can be boring since you keep running the same area over and over.
Destiny 2 content. Actually very good and lots to cover. Given the nature of open-world, they have many adventures/side missions/caves/MMO style stuff placed all over the map. Exploration is rewarding and can be done multiple times while Warframe has pretty much just planets without open world (which is also very time clear and done type) and sharing the same tileset.
End game - Warframe has no endgame. Am at MR27 (max at the moment) and there is literally nothing to do. The game isn't balanced. Lots of old items are completely out of order. It also gives new players a bad taste because you won't use them after levelling up. Basically wasting materials. Index feels unfinished. PvP is dead. No Raids. You don't even have a reason to grind because stats are fixed on items. Only Rivens is there but that is complete RNG and Kuva grind is terribly boring due to lack of Kuva nodes. Even if you farm plats and gamble on Rivens, it doesn't have any reason to do since there is no "hard/challenging" content. Warframe has become very trivial now.
Destiny 2 offers solid endgame and lots of challenging and hardcore stuff. Both are good F2P games in their own but presentation/quality and content helps Destiny 2 a lot. WF is really slow these days with content and with nothing to do, end game players are bored of if. Pretty much just log in for a daily reward.
If you want melee stuff, crafting, corridor material grind, Warframe wins easily. If you want more cool exploration, challenging content, decent progression, PvP, endgame, then Destiny 2.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

I haven't bought shadowkeep yet, but forsaken was really good imo, i had a lot of fun with it, the story, the new areas, the new enemy faction, everything really. It's all very spaghetti western-like, don't wanna spoil anything though.

Sounds good i have never really played the game and i'm pretty bored with Warframe so i need something to replace it, i 'm playing the free campaigns atm and want one the xpacks for the expanded classes and shit and everyone told me shadowkeep is not that great anyway so i should wait and just buy forsaken instead for now.
