[Beta 3] Fixed Xenon and Kha'ak ships always having very bad pilots.
[Beta 3] Fixed player-owned docked ships requiring additional instruction to proceed with orders after being given new orders.
Should i jump into this or wait? I don't care if there are some bugs (Its egosoft and bought all the others) but I'd like for it to be quite playable.
fuck knows. it seemed pretty fun to me, at least initially. Egosoft is pretty much spooning the shit into Sin's mouth, so it can't be that bad right?
make sure you grab 1.50 beta3 to fix the turret and economy jank.

yeah but i think it has some password like IBackedUpMySaves or something. 1.50 b1 was a disaster but i havent heard anything bad about b2 and b3, and they fix some seriously annoying shit.

TaterTrader
https://www.nexusmods.com/x4foundations/mods/151
An auto-trader alternative, TaterTraders attempt to seek out the best deals to generate profit. While also attempting to be quite configurable, and balanced.
Mod Highlights:
21 new sectors to explore - the universe is now 50% bigger
NEW FACTION - "Pirate Faction" - enemy to all, harassing the universe
NEW FACTION - "Medi-tech Corporation" - enemy to you, friend to the universe; only you realize the depths of their corruption
New inventory items drop form Pirate and Medi-tech ships. To unlock even better rewards, build a Stellar Cartography Module and a Prison Module at your station.
Pirate and Xenon fleets teleport across the universe to harass you and your allies.
Removed Mentor Plot - PHQ spawns randomly in an unknown sector, disguised as a pirate base protected by Xenon forces. Search the universe to claim it as your own.
Includes Trade Receiver Satellites and Find Ownerless Scan.
Notes:
Reward Unlocks: buy the new station modules from the Argon Representative. Build them on a player-owned station. Every time you dock at this station with the new inventory items on your ship, they will be removed and your log will be updated with the locations of new rewards. New inventory items are also sellable to all inventory traders. It is not recommended to dock with a large number of the new inventory items - the log is updated individually for every item that you have, so if you have 20 items, you get 20 log entries.
Trade Receiver Satellite does not add trade subscriptions until you build a Large Habitation Module. If you deploy a Trade Receiver Satellite prior to building a Large Habitation Module, it will be a totally useless satellite forever. Scoop it up and redeploy after you have added a Large Habitation Module to your station.
Conquer the PHQ by flying your ship into its zone and defeating the Xenon fleet guarding it.
Find Ownerless Scan enhances your long range scanner to report the location of ownerless objects in the sector, including the hidden PHQ. Requires a Large Habitation Module.
I'm not sure I want to have nude stuff, with those NPC's lol.
Anyway, hilarity...
and now I am at war with one of the steam mods, because I dared to ask
Quote:
do you even run the game yourselves, lol?
to which that moron mod replied :
Quote:
Dude its a beta, chill.
This is a topic related to a beta build, if you want to complain for random stuff feel free to do it somewhere else and let this space for those that have something constructive to say, which is the point of public betas.
Any random rants will be removed without warning.
MFG
Ketraar
So, of course, I replied, because it's the fucking internet and because of fuck it lol...
Quote:
Dude, maybe come down from your high Horse a bit. I am only presenting a bug. But the bug is so blatantly obvious, that I do indeed wonder, if the devs actually start the game and try it out, before releasing it to the public or if they just change lines of code and hope for the best.
It was a serious question. So stop acting all high and mighty, thanks.
to which others actually agreed with me lol.
So the mod was obviously triggered, because he kept deleting my replies.
Even this one, which is absolutely honest and constructive, in my opinion:
Quote:
Even tho that mod keeps deleting my posts ... lol... welcome to the internet... I still want to say this:
a) I bought this game.
b) I am entitled to my opinions, agree or not, not the point.
c) I am actually BETA TESTING the damn game for you and just asked a simple question.
d) I already have close to 300 hours invested in the game and I don't know how many hours of streams on twitch and youtube where I keep actually defending the game, when in reality, let's be honest for a moment, I really shouldn't.
So to summarize, I am invested financially, physically and I guess emotionally, so I think I have the right to ask, if the devs actually PLAY THEIR GAME, if such BLATANT bugs are still present or suddenly appear in new beta builds.
I mean, maybe it's just me, maybe this happens only to me, I don't know, but instead of "moderating" by censoring anyone not kissing ass or praising new bugs as "features", maybe instead try to investigate and see, if those extremely obvious bugs happen to more people or if it is an isolated case.
You know, like actually do your job instead of trying to "control the internet", because believe me, that shit never works out the way people think it will.
Cheers.
PS: I own every freaking X game, so if you have no respect for your consumers, you know, the people who pay your job, at least have the decency to act "proper" yourself.
And now IU made a separate post, where I quoted that text of mine again, out of the Beta thread. Let's see, if he keeps deleting elsewhere, too...
yeah they have bit of a weird fucking progression going on here from x3 > xr > x4. i also like your 180 in opinion it also doesn't surprise me.
i haven't really played the game much as i got distracted, i figured i would get bored with the poor fleet mechanics and end game not being what it should be.. so i'm just waiting for the patches (i mean, the mods really) to drop while i play other games.
i knew this was inevitable for X4 after having played it for just a short time and hearing the complaints:
All Reviews:
Mixed (4,068)
i don't think the steam moderator you encountered has anything to do with egosoft itself, but i could be wrong.. they're usually just randoms with too much time on their hands that get 'hired' as CM so i would ignore him.
i also don't think they actually playtest their own shit at all because i can't fathom half of the shit that goes on in these games, especially these in-your-face problems that seem to occur so much.
1.60 Beta 2 (yes, they went from 1.51 Beta 1 to 1.60 Beta 2... no wonder their forums were down for 3 days lol. Can't make shit like this up)

[Beta 2] Fixed Account Management and Logical Station Overview menus not setting manager budget when setting station account.
[Beta 2] Fixed menu crash in supply node of Logical Station Overview.
[Beta 2] Fixed menu crash when opening Info menu for certain stations.
[Beta 2] Fixed menu freeze in Account Management menu.
[Beta 2] Fixed map freeze if a commander was docked at one of their subordinates.

[Beta 2] Fixed strange items being added to inventory after venture completes.
[Beta 2] Fixed unclaimed venture rewards getting lost on subsequent save/load cycle.
[Beta 2] Fixed several other causes of crashes.
As always, looks nice on paper, but usually has to be taken with a huge rock of salt irl and probably added a ton of new bugs with it lol.
I am having such a blast with X-Rebirth (I know!), can't even be arsed trying this out lol.
