And thanks ubisoft and activision blizzard who discount their games a couple months down the line on a regular basis as well.
The discounts started after a couple of weeks for this. It's now just over a month old and already 50% off. Hardly the same as any other publisher/developer, unless they're sales are also tanking. One day you'll form an impressive argument/observation. Today is not that day.
You're such a charming young man with your wits and quips.
But where did I say it's the same? I didn't...
This is weird. I’m getting 50-60 fps all ultra DXR ultra at 1440p. I thought that was 2080ti teritorry? Or was that prepatch? Tried 2 missions.. maybe not the most demanding? Dno...
Anyway happy with perf, game looks amazing.. too bad im not into it (is anyone? Sp at least).

And therefore did the worst thing 1 month into the game lifecycle: fragmenting the playerbase. Which they swore wouldn't do anymore.
This...
It's still better than closing off a portion of players behind a paywall but it's still a stupid decision. Either they should stick to the current TTK or change it back, none of this wishy-washy bullshit.
They must be so desperate, these are actions of someone totaly desperate ..
Im enjoying the game more than bf1 for sure, better map design overall, better gunplay, but its a buggy mess, and now they take away gunplay...i wont stop playing it but ill play it way less often for sure..
EA destroys everything rly, they are so blinded that they think TTK is what is making newcomers not login back, when the game has serious issues that i only overlooked because of how cool the gunplay was... oh well.
Also doing a thousand core playlists just to fragment the player base, this is beyond crazy. Lunacy

Christ o mighty, playing the campaign, 2nd story (the snowy one), i'm just sitting like a moron looking at the graphics. HDR + RTX ( RTX actually works on more surfaces not just the windows etc, but adding roughness(raytracing roughness, which i guess you can call it reflectivity?) to other textures as well in certain conditions, so in other words most revewers are clueless when spouting "losing performance on maps with no windows/puddles with no visual upside") on the daylight snowy mountains mission, god, i swear... looks fucking amazing, that dark blue saturated sky with the bright as fuck white snow
All the explosions reflecting on metal buildings / windows, the half-frozen water puddles inside mud reflecting everything.. the amazing atmosphere inside a house looking out to the snow due to HDR, things seen through the window outside reflecting in a painting even though they're not on screen... the whole package. Just wow.
Haters can hate all they want but i bet if they got to see all these things in person and cost wouldnt be a factor they'd be sold instantly.

It'd be better in something like Cyberpunk/Deus Ex/Kingdom Come, where the world around you serves a purpose, can be explored and can be interacted with.
I completely agree with that part.
We'll probably see it in Cyberpunk 2077 at least.

We’ve committed to giving you an update this week around Battlefield V’s TTK (Time To Kill) adjustments, as seen in last Friday’s letter to the community. After rolling out those changes last week, we’ve listened to your feedback, reviewed our statistical data, and have made the decision to return to the original TTK values seen at launch.
Our intent with the TTK changes was to see if we could evolve the Battlefield V experience and make it more enjoyable for new players, whilst also making sure the Battlefield vets have a choice with a more “core” experience suiting their preferred play-style. Clearly we didn’t get it right. Veteran players didn’t ask for the change, but as game developers, we took it upon ourselves to make those changes based on extensive data and deliberation. It truthfully wasn’t an easy decision for us.
It’s important to acknowledge that we have a challenge bringing new players into Battlefield V and onboard them to become more experienced Battlefield players. It’s been a challenge across our games for a long time, as many will know, and becomes even more important for us to improve upon our post-launch experience with consistent updates to the game through the Tides of War. Our desire to service a game that caters to old and new players will continue. How we get it right isn’t easy, nor will it be quick, and we appreciate when the community comes together and helps us on this journey.
We have learned a lot over the past week. We’ve gained clarity on the issues you’ve shared with us around Time To Death (TTD), we’ve identified imbalances in weapons, and have recorded real-world data on how TTK changes our game and impactS our players. With that knowledge we have a better idea of how to improve the game going forward, and have already begun taking steps to improve the experience for all our players, new and veteran.
Starting tomorrow, December 18th at 4am PT / 7am ET / 1p CET, we will revert the TTK changes to their original launch states, we will remove the “Conquest Core” playlist, and we will not introduce any new “Core” playlists as mentioned in last week’s letter. This will be a server-side update and does not require a client download. We’ll continue to identify how we can improve the Battlefield V experience and will have more information for you around those changes starting in the new year.
Thank you for your feedback and patience. We’re excited to be on this journey with you.

Good, now if they could also make the SMG's a bit better that would be great.
