Supernatural had some great stories back in the day, JJ and Daredevil are very well written shows IMO, never saw Constantine.

The fact that they are hiring writers from supernatural detective shows/movies instead of writers from fantasy works, is a very good sign.
It seems like someone there did in fact play the games or read the books.

IMO it's the opposite.
However Hissrich previously worked on Expanse which is, as i recall, sci-fi.

The fact that they have 10 (!) writers for 8 episodes, screams "we don't know how to approach it, so we'll puzzle whatever that's written together and hope it's coherent".

The best shows and films were written only by one competent writer. The more writers are involved in creating a screenplay the higher the chances it will be shit.

Yep, that's how it works. One writer, one director, one camera guy and one guy holding the mic.

The fact that you typed this message screams "I have no idea how TV shows are made". |
I guess that's so
Name me a good tv show that's written by 10 people (in 1 single season, obviously). |
Well, it's not exactly 10 writers, but here is what IMDB has down for FIREFLY:
Series Writing Credits
Joss Whedon ... (created by) (14 episodes, 2002-2003)
Tim Minear ... (4 episodes, 2002-2003)
Ben Edlund ... (2 episodes, 2002-2003)
Jose Molina ... (2 episodes, 2002-2003)
Cheryl Cain ... (1 episode, 2002)
Jane Espenson ... (1 episode, 2002)
Drew Z. Greenberg ... (1 episode, 2002)
Brett Matthews ... (1 episode, 2003)

Citation there are 10 writers on this please. All I can find is 3 names.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"

So what happened here is probably that wawrzul saw this picture: https://twitter.com/LHissrich/status/993668958266970112/photo/1 with 10 people and the words writers' room and thought these are the 10 writers.
For one, this one: https://twitter.com/clareh_video is a writer's assistant. A writer's assistant is NOT a writer, it's the person that takes notes on what the writers discuss.
So that leaves us with 9 people. One of them is probably the script supervisor, which again is not a writer, it's the person responsible for continuity. Then perhaps one of them is the VFX supervisor that attended the meeting to provide input on how they are going to handle the visual side of things and so on.
So far 3 writers have been confirmed, aside of the showrunner. 10 is definitely wrong.

No argument here, you are probably right.
EDIT: Mostly right. "In this picture, there are actual seven writers and three support staff. But I will get into how a writers room works soon!". So again - my bad.
Plus Hissrich claims that each writer does one episode.
LOL @ one of the comments (had to be a black dude ofc) :
"That’s the most diverse room I’ve ever seen. Well done!"
I guess a diverse, AC Origins-esque, social justice fightin', heterosexual male bashin' team guarantees a well written show. The fucking world today.
EDIT2 : And another one : "(also, it makes me really really happy to see a writer's room that isn't 90% white men. thank you - it's a weird, comforting feeling.)"

I'm going to laugh if Anson Mount is cast as Geralt.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

I really hope the wizard ball will be in the show (it should, as it introduces the main villain and Ciri disappears). The dialogs between Geralt and the other wizards are incredibly funny.
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.
