Alternatives to the Eizo Foris FS2735. Do they exist?

Yeah, just look at the Asus ROG Swift PG279Q for almost 800€ and ~50% of them have some sort of backlight bleeding issue. Wtf?

That's the same issue with all current 144hz 1440p gsync (or not I think) ips monitors have.
It's pure luck based. Good one can be really nice if you are willing to send back few times but nowhere near 800$ nice. All panels are made by AUO optronics and customization done by asus, acer, aoc and so on. But they can only do qc check and send back bad ones. They just install their osd, do some calibration and put the panel into their frame.

I kinda went overdrive and again wrote what I wrote initially on the last page, so here it is. Spoilered because not everyone might want me to see doing va/ips/tn talk all over again Laughing
 Spoiler:

in short - there is no perfect monitor - all have some drawbacks - just choose what drawback You can accept

I think i'll go for 1440 @ 60hz, because I want to play at 1440 and until I buy a new gen gpu, my 970 will struggle keeping 60fps on 1440 in most games.

Even after gpu swap, i'd be more than happy to have constant 60fps at 1440.

the nano, quantum and all other bullshit is just a color filter in front of the panel... resulting in oversaturation usually.

Nice screen, but has also shitloads of uniformity issues, im really starting to suspect that you cannot get high hz panel with good uniformity, high hz has its price and its the image quality.

@_Breezer: Wow, I've been looking at monitors for the last 4-5 days and didn't notice that this was the test of the previous model G27C, the newer model that I wanted to buy is the MAG27C(Q, as I want the WQHD model), so maybe they have improved on some of the shitty things? Smile

No, the curved gaming SVA panels almost all have clouding issues, no matter the resolution/size. You'd have to be extremely lucky to get one with little to no clouding.

But it's not as bad as it looks on the photo, which has very high exposure.
This is more realistic
https://pcmonitors.info/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/C27HG70-bleed.jpg

Also due to the VA contrast the clouding is not even brighter than regular IPS black is in the center

IPS

It's still there though..

As I already said, the gaming monitor with currently the best black uniformity is the LG 32GK850G
But it's big and pretty expensive (and not out here till February)

OK, I'll buy the MAG27CQ myself and checkout if I can live with it. Funny thing is though that I barely reach 120FPS in PUBG right now at 1080p.. so if I upgrade to 1440p, I won't even be able to reach 90FPS Laughing Is a 1080 quick enough for 144fps in pubg?

But why would you base your acquisition on a game which isn't finished? Maybe try a different game?

?

I want a 1440p screen, 144hz and good colors... this is independent from PUBG Smile And if my GTX 970 isn't fast enough for PUBG at 1440p, then I'll upgrade my system when I have the monies for it Smile
