Well, played this yesterday for over 2-3h.
And i must say i rather enjoy it so far. More so than DR3.
What i like the most so far is, that vehicles are actually worth the use now. As their lifetime only depends on the damage they take, not on how much you use the weaponry - unlike the weapons you use on foot.
What annoys me a bit though:
After every game start i have to manually change the language from german back to english.

btw Bob - I know it's kinda redundant question... What previous DR games have You played, which finished and how would You rate them ?

Sin317-"im 31 years old and still surprised at how much shit comes out of my ass actually ..."
SteamDRM-"Call of Duty is the symbol of the true perfection in every aspect. Call of Duty games are like Mozart's/Beethoven's symphonies"
deadpoetic-"are you new to the cyberspace?"
@harry_theone
What's dumbed down though?
Not that the previous games had deep gameplay either.
For example in DR4 you have several skill trees.
And also you have now 3 categories for objects you can carry: throwables, melee and guns. Each with up 8 slots.
I don't think the previous games had the possibility to carry so much stuff.
Oh and mouse/keyboard controls are not too shabby either.

Oh and something else:
Is it normal that basically every standard zombie has that huge yellow mask on?
And also that most NPCs just look like Poison Ivy or some fat black dude?!
Or is it some leftover from the copy protection?

@Bob Barnsen It's in this thread somewhere, you can read about it. There's a video on it, too. Of course this brings something new with it (should, even) but it isn't the best of the series at all.
Overall it was a very enjoyable game with a not too bad DLC.
The narration actually wasn't too bad either.
Only thing i found sad, was that there were no real psycho bosses as in the previous games.
8/10

Crashed once so far for me, right after I unlocked the first safe house - during a cutscene, as well. Looks like the fitgirl repack comes with the ALI emu, I'll give CDX a try and see if it makes a difference.

Yup, switched and CDX works a lot better; ALI started to crash even during normal gameplay, no such issues after switching.
