Played and disliked... really short and it still felt too long. Just boring and repetitive.

The game works maxed out 60 fps on 1440p on my 970 gtx, but for some reason when I am trying to switch to 4k or 1600p it got locked on 30 fps.. any reason for that? Scratch Head

I'm a bit disappointed too. The game feels a bit cheap:
Controls clunky
Animations are weird sometimes.

Also most of the time you just wander around, nothing happens.
Inside is sooo much better and professional than this.
The trailer they showed us where you meet the cook and the room with the shoes are
probably the highpoints of the game.

It is just boring and tedious.

The art and graphics are nice but without any explanation its just going for shock value of gruesome scenes.

Limbo is still the best in this genre. Inside was fantastic too... at least it had genuinely surprising puzzles for the most part.

anyway - Gears of war any day Very Happy

I've been putting the weekend to good use and finished it as well after dinner (fitting theme in the game too, only..creepier). For me this is a great little gem, the wonderful gloomy art, unsettling atmosphere coupled with the hide 'n seek platforming formed a superb combo. Me Gusta

It's definitely on the very very short side though (went through it in less than 3 hours), and the final part didn't manage to be as engaging as the rest of the game *shakes fist* - including the (abrupt) ending, which is a shame. The puzzles and platforming are always rather straightforward, but well integrated, escaping from the grotesque characters and using environmental tricks feels constantly good. Razz

Overall it's not on the same level as the memorable Inside (or Limbo), but it's still a pleasant short experience that is definitely worth an isoplaythrough* in my opinion, if only for the fantastic atmosphere alone. (If I had to rate it, it would be a 7+/10)

*waiting for a mighty bundle

I liked this better than inside and limbo, both good games but this was more enjoyable for me, maybe wasnt in a good mood when playing inside I remember getting frustrated more than having fun.

Why?
I like those games. Loved brothers, limbo and inside. Love stuff like gone home and adventure games.

This is a great looking game but its boring and tedious... Not bad game. Just nothing special and uninspiring.

Likewise, that one looks incredibly captivating but it's still sitting in the endless backlog sack due the delayed pirate bears convention. Lost...but not forgotten xD

Why? Most of their attention clearly went into the visuals/athmosphere. Which are great. And when you take into account what Ixi just said, from a gemplay perspective, the BlurMeister got a point. It doesn't seem to be anything special.

I'm personally not even gonna bother. While I have admiration for the aforementioned art, to me this is just another indie title made by a bunch of people where most of them are bearded, manbun sporting and pink shirt wearing normie casuals constantly sipping on a cup of starbucks.

*EDIT* I just checked on the devs... gtfØ Laughing

Funny how people expect a game that makes sense and have a meaning when it's called little nightmares.. dreams are as abstract as it possibly gets.

will try later today, not expecting something amazing though..
