I vote going back to the bitching, at least it was vaguely related to the game/developer/publisher

Jesus H. Shepard on a makocycle, men. I'd say it's enough off-topic for t̶o̶d̶a̶y the entire month, let's leave the metaphysical world and go back to reality, shall we.
If the forum tools weren't so obsolete and tricky I'd have selectively hand picked posts in the last two pages and put 'em in a thread in the Useless Void named "Derpified Ramblings".
Praetori wrote: | Because bitching about AAA games is the edgy and cool thing to do on NFOHump. You get bonus cool points if you use terms like 'derpified' and 'console peasants' . I blame the servers, they're the true slowpokes!
They must be powered by a console :face

Will there be any name filters?
I already see the new bioware fans naming their toys something like "A Celestial Rod Of Anal Destruction +10"
1) Lenovo Legion 7 (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H, RTX 3080 16Gb, 32Gb DDR4, SSD 1TB +2TB
2) SFFPC (streaming via Moonlight+ Sunshine)

UI was bad, but the system itself was great.

Yep, open-world syndrome pretty much confirmed I guess.
Can't be bothered to design unique and interesting weapons, maybe with some lore tied to them?
Just implement a crafting system, and let the user build hundreds of generic ones that differ from one another by a few stat points and their color.
Will probably be the same approach with exploration, DA:I style: out of ideas for interesting locations and planets? No problem: just make one huge hub environment, then change it's skin to desert/snow/rock/whatever suits you and fill it with fetch quests and tedium.
I hope I'm being too pessimistic... but I have a bad feeling.

man i was originally checking their twitter on MP infos to write a pun if you (rob) dont wanna enjoy the multiplayer. But nevermind that.. wtf is going on with the bioware folks twitters? Stupid jokes, political nonsense and childish meme goof tweets. Its like they got the order from EA to be trendy and hip with the kids.

Aren't you glad they shut down the forums for that?

The weirdos had their own sub-forums. There was plenty of useful and rational discussion to be had in the other parts. What they needed was a proper moderation/admin team, but that would cost money.

Its how it is these days look at others like Blizzard. They paint the hair blue/purple become tranny and make women their gods. U don't get work because you are good but you get it because you are a filthy racist against whites or a dorky woman/tranny.
Guess it's the nerdy rejects that grown up that make games nowadays. Twitter allowing them to finally voice their absurd opinions. And they can finally make fun of ppl. Mostly white males.

Just look at Celestalon's twitter. It's a huge cringe fest with hair paint. Him and his team are doing an awful job with WoW running it into it's grave. Same as what is happening with Bioware. Can just smell this game not being relevant one week after it's release only to be used for jokes.

It's good since it completely negates the criticism of the FOV in the showed gameplay videos - allowing each player to set the camera as they like.

A decade ago, I would have agreed with your sentiment.
Today, however, NOTHING is to be taken for granted. We're pretty much at the point where functional mouse and keyboard support on PC versions is considered a "feature". If we're talking a Japanese port (or really anything released by Capcom and the like), it's most definitely a "luxury feature".
So yea, an FOV slider in a modern PC title is most definitely considered a "luxury feature" rather than a given feature.
Sad times.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

Look guys, 2 things what are the most important thing in gaming is controller and HDTV, you cant expect to have support for 2 extra aspect ratios and a adjustable FOV in 2017 PC port.
