What you mean?
Can you explain how Crysis 3 looks so much better than this turd, and while not completely optimized, still manages to run 1440p60fps on 980ti, while this turd needs a 1070 to runs "ultra/high" on 1080p? (I'll give you a hint, it has to do with Quake 2 engine in 2016 )

Alright, I'll pirate. Thank you JB for clearing it. I expect to be disappointed nonetheless from the performance.

Well it can't compete with Frostbite to take their main competitor Battlefield One as a comparison but here with a AMD card (Granted it's a fairly high-end variant.) which traditionally loses out to Nvidia for this game engine even at 3840x2160 with SMAA T2X framerate is in the mid 50's though VRAM is a problem so I might end up dropping the res scaling entirely depending on how the larger levels go, you don't want it to start swapping if total VRAM usage exceeds the GPU's limit as the stuttering is very noticeable with frequent framerate drops.
Certainly performs better than Black Ops 3 did though but Infinity Ward usually has less advanced visual settings keeping mostly to the standard texture, lod and shadow quality though AA has been upgraded with the addition of their tweaked SMAA T2X variant called "filmic" (Which is also a bit softer.) and now support for adjustable resolution scaling and for MW:R also supersampling.
Also the game engine or what it might be caused by has caused a pretty massive increase in file size for these more recent COD installments, ~70 GB for Infinite Warfare (60 without the MP stuff.) and ~40 for MW:R is pretty hefty.
EDIT: Oh you noticed the file size as I was writing this, yeah I don't know if it's compression (Or lack thereof.) or what this is caused by, there's no multi-language files and the pre-recorded level load cutscenes and such don't take that much space either, most is taken up by the asset archives far as I can tell and then the archives for specific game levels.
(These last couple of years more and more games have been nearing or even occasionally exceeding the blu-ray standard of 50 GB.)
(Not 100% sure but I think the largest would be Black Ops 3 with all MP DLC at almost 100 GB now.)

yep. Gears of war 4 si 80gb.
Games are getting stupid nowadays especially that they do not look that much better when they were 10gb. Developers are just not packing their shit

UE4 is a fairly good example in general using these "cooked" assets but I think there's some compression too but even the smaller "indie" UE4 projects are several GB in size.
IDTech with DOOM and Evil Within are also among the bigger games in terms of file size, even Old Blood for Wolfenstein which isn't that lengthy is still very large though a lot of this is due to the texture tech for this engine being a bit "different" and not entirely for the better.
(Certainly allows for the creation of more varied texturing but when more than half of the games total file size is due to textures alone well that's not very usual at least.)

I have mixed feelings about remaster.
It looks great and all but I am not getting that vibe from it.
Not sure why. Were some voices changed? Music?
Sound mix seems weird.
And performance is rather bad compared to Infinite Warfare... Jaggies everywhere and I can't get rid of them except going 4 times supersampling but it tanks to 30fps then.
Guess I will just download original then... and sweetfx it.
