How do they balance it? Just stopping a consumption must surely come with a trade-off.

As it has with every Anno game: restricting access lowers the hapiness and thus your tax income

Huh, might give it a try to stop every low-ranking employee being addicted to ocular replacements, it's a bit weird how they all want cybernetic eyes but I guess eyesight is going to be pretty poor in the future if everyone sits in front of a screen 24/7. Very Happy
(Though the higher ranked employees have their quirks too.)

Release Date: 20 Jul, 2016
Anno 2205: Orbit allows you to conquer space by building, expanding and managing your own modular space station.

Go even further in expanding your conquest and manage Nexus, a powerful AI controlling the newly accessible space station modules.
  • Space Travellers
The new Orbit sector needs astronauts in order to build and populate a huge space station. Players have to place the new Orbital Institutes in their cities, as well as in the Arctic and Moon sectors to train their inhabitants so they are ready for space. The three types of astronauts, Biologists, Physicists and Engineers are important for the individual main focuses of the different space station areas.

  • Modular Space Expansion
When entering the new Orbit sector, players will only have the station’s main module at hand. The more they progress; up to 12 different module types can be unlocked. Each module has different requirements and fulfils different needs. Build laboratories like the Agriculture Chambers and support them with maintenance modules such as the Artificial G-Lab. The possibilities of building the space station are numerous and challenging and players must once again show their city-planner - or better - space-planner skills.

  • Master the Nexus
The bigger the space station gets, the more Expertise is gained, which can be used in the Nexus to unlock new bonus effects for all other regions in the game. There are around 75 bonus effects to be explored, and players can’t use all of them at the same time. Thus, finding the best combination is crucial in order to be a successful city-planner.

Seems like Final DLC (which is not part of season pass ) is out now

http://store.steampowered.com/app/526040/
Quote:
Anno 2205: Frontiers is the final DLC to the City-Building Simulation developed by Ubisoft’s Blue Byte studio and lets players seize three new sectors - each featuring special sector projects and challenges. Also the new high-level Synthetics faction will be introduced which demands rare materials.

The Frontier DLC brings back elements from previous Anno titles such as multiple smaller islands in one sector and if players wish for, they can activate military conflicts in regular sectors. It’s the ultimate challenge for all players and completes the Anno 2205 journey.
  • THREE NEW SECTORS WITH UNIQUE CHARACTERISTICS
    • Madrigal Islands
Offers traditional Anno flair in the temperate setting with lots of smaller islands to expand on. Players will uncover Shady Dealings and increase their World Market routes.
    • Savik Province
This continental Arctic Sector invites players to travel the vast snowfields by unearthing geysers to gain new lands. The freed geysers can be used as a heat source for surrounding snow camps.
    • Greentide Archipelago
Players awake the Man-Machine Synthetics, a new faction with high-level demands. In order to get into contact with the Hybrids, players have to excavate a precursor facility and bring it back to life.

  • SYNTHETICS LEVEL
The new faction is a true challenge for all Anno experts. They will require lots of high-level materials, but mastering them will result in very effective workforces.
  • ENEMY INVASIONS
Military missions can now be played in regular sectors. Players can call their fleet to fight hostile brigades and secure their trade routes.
  • CORPORATE INDIVIDUALIZATION
Unique ornaments which display players’ cooperation logos allow more customization options for the cities.

Can Ubisuck get any worse? They sell a €20 season pass which gets you two overpriced DLC expansions which should have been in the barren base game in the first AND then they decide not to include the third one? Seriously? SERIOUSLY? What the fucking point is a season pass if you only include part of all the DLC?

Hunting season more like. Anyone have a shotgun and lives close to Ubisoft HQ? I think we need a "live action" version of The Purge.

This game died the moment they decided to remove all mechanics in favour of just placing/free replacing buildings whilly nhilly. A shame this was one of my favourite game series now succomb to dumbo derp gameplay, be suprised if they get any more funding to continue this series after this failure.

What will they do with the next anno "Press spacebar to activate money printing and autobuilding"?

lol wut " im city building! "

There's always 1404 and 2070 for both ye olde and futuristic settings, and both games are very good. I'll just chalk this one up as another team who will die soon because of publisher meddling.

I own and played the vanilla game only of 2205 and I think the first DLC/addon was free anyway and it is a great game, without adding anything else. And let's be honest, you really have to be a hardcore fan of the series, to be playing that long and actually make use of new "areas" and what not Smile

Those extra regions are like skins. To me they are cosmetic and nothing else. It won't change the game really, just add more variety to an already very varied game Smile
