anyone here using launchbox? how the fuck can i enable a menu to choose which rom it extracts for example from an added snes game? no problem with nes cause the emulator can handle 7zip archives. but i dont know any snes emu which can open them, dont wanna extract the romset
I use the Snes9x Next core in Retroarch (that one has no problem running compressed archives even if the emulator doesn't support it natively)... but..
With Launchbox:
Under emulator settings you can tick the box that says: extract ROM archives before running. Can also be set per game or a set of games but then you tick that box when you edit the games.
usung snes9x in launchbox, and neither snes9x nor the next core does support archives. launchbox extracts them when launching the game -> but i dont see where i can tick something that it shows me what it should extract from the archive. so it picks the first file inside the archive which is most of the times some beta or hacked version of the game
Yup Launchbox does indeed just take the first file (I was talking of Retroarch through launchbox being able to support archives automatically btw).
Which romset are you using and might I ask you why you are using one of the preservation ones?
I just go with: 1 Game 1 Region with the No-Intro sets via Romcenter (or ctrlmamepro). I will only use the best version to play anyway. So no reason to go for the ones with the purpose of preserving a whole system but if you do: strip those useless files out of it for your gaming set.
Updates seem to be a PITA but are possible and are required for a number of games to work. Certain titles need to be updated to support the 'Pro Controller.'

got the goodsnes romset cause it has a few nice romhacks with it, but it also has a lot of shitty and beta roms. im too lazy to clean out everything... a way to have a selection which rom will be extracted to start the game would be better
Dunno to me it just seems like you're going the wrong way with it. There are better sets out there for gaming purposes. One can always get the romhacks separately.
You can always ask for such a feature on their forum, but I really don't see a use for it. Especially since it boils down to wrong romset and laziness from your part (takes less than a minute in a rom organizer)
the romset is fine its the fucking emulators... using same sets for nes, and there the emu can open files with more than one rom and asks which one to use
Anyone have any troubles with 360 controller and Cemu? I just can't get it to work in game. Configuring it normally in the settings, but nothing registers in game.
started replaying god of war, think i never tried it with pcsx2 cause i played the trilogy on ps3 a few years ago
runs very well with almost constant 60fps (some times it reloads stuff and dips down, but i assume thats cause the image is compressed and on a normal harddrive) with 4x native resolution (even 8xnative gives 40-50fps, but feels slow as hell) and looks surprisingly good for a 11 year old ps2 game
Half a year's worth of fixes in one go, enjoy! Here's a selection of the most important fixes:
- Fix JIT problems on Galaxy S7 and iOS 9+ devices
- Fix Android TV support (x86-64) and use latest FFmpeg, fix Raspberry memory use
- Texture replacement support - for custom textures and upscaling
- Workaround rendering issues on Tegra K1/X1
- Initial Vulkan support on Windows - not full featured yet
- Experimental new CPU backend and CPU fixes
- Fix type D cheat codes, allow for homebrew
- Fix some problems when switching away from and back to the app
- Initial game video recording / TAS features (frame stepping)
Whats the best 3ds emulator? (pc/raspberry/pine64)
Citra i linked a few of the more advanced JIT builds above but you need a high end pc with a overclocked CPU to get anywhere near playable speed in most games (and that's with the unofficial JIT builds, official is even slower) this will never run on a raspberry it's impossible, i also wouldn't really try to play games on it yet while it may be playable on a high end CPU speed wise in some games now you will almost certainly run into unemulated functions which will crash or break the emulation in pretty much every game, give it a few years if you actually want to play games in a 3ds emulator.

Cheers - I do have a pretty good pc so I could give it a go just to see how it is.
Too bad it requires so much cpu though.

Whats your current CPU and how much you overclocked it?
EDIT: I personally tested Project Diva F RPCS3 on my rig(to see how this works,I don't really into this kind of games)
It works almost perfectly.. locked on 30 fps even 1080p using Vulkan on my current rig.. Too bad it's so far the few 3D games that works as good like that on RPCS3,Hopefully more will come soon...

i5 4690k 4ghz (i can go to 4.4 if i want) i can play some games at 60 fps with minor dips here and there with the chinese builds only the games i really care about atm Zelda ALbW,DQ7, SMTiV run at 30-50 fps but since as i said most games have crashes or other bugs atm anyway it doesn't really matter, i can wait.
YouTube’s ‘Predator’ has shared a video, showcasing Dead Space Extraction being perfectly emulated on the best PS3 emulator, RPCS3. As we can see, there are still some performance issues that will be hopefully improved in future versions of the RPCS3. Still, the fact that this emulator can perfectly run a PS3 game speaks volumes about its progress. Enjoy!
Not sure if that has been metioned but PCSX2 can now play the Ratchet and Clank games nearly flawlessly.
Just add
UserHacks_mipmap = 1
to the GSdx.ini in the ini folder.
Ratchet & Clank 1 Fully Completed
I got better emulation using Opengl (Hardware) than DX9/11 upscale was @ X6 but this game has issues in menus only at x3 and above, so if you can't deal with the crap stuttering and hitching in menus i suggest x2
Ratchet & Clank Going Commando Completed
Again i got better results with Opengl (Hardware), running x4 with FXAA and External Shader, AA & 16x, Blending @ High
Speed Hacks EE @ -1, VU @ 0
Ratchet & Clank 3 Up Your Arsenal, Tested
I just tested this briefly with the same settings i used on Going Commando, and seemed ok, but i only tested for a few mins.
Anyway hope this helps someone wanting to play these orginal gems from the PS2.
