Aww Yeah

That's fucking awesome!

fucking awesome? you are in awe at a basic feature that should have been there in the first place? Could you not please? Were you one of those who had a run in with the store because of quantum broke?

You are bob and i'm sick today, shut up. I wish the windows 10 update on you. If you already have windows 10, I hope the next upgrade messes up your file and default program associations. Mad

Fucking Microsoft Stop trying to muscle in on territory you clearly gave less than zero shits about for the last 16 years. Just... just fuck off. Publish your games, let Valve sell them, take your money and just fuck off. You're not wanted here and your "saving!" is damaging the platform in a rush to merge your console into our world.

Microsoft wants to ship games on Steam again.

Quote:
“I look at Steam today, it’s on an incredible growth trajectory,” Xbox boss Phil Spencer said. “It’s a massive force in gaming; a positive force. I think it will be bigger a year from now than it is today. And five years later it will still be bigger again.”

Just watched a interview on giant bomb (which was filmed last night) and phil spencer (not sure on the name but he's the head of gaming) and he said he will be putting some games on steam but the AAA stuff will solely going on the windows store as they want to fix the issue's they have on there.

you will still need windows 10 and a ms account instead of an offline account cause multiplayer will be always done via xbox live. but if they publish the stuff on steam we will get better prices though, thats nice

They just kind acknowledge that Steam's there but I don't think I ever read anything about Microsoft having plans for using the platform themselves.

EDIT:

Definitely could. I look at Steam today, it's on an incredible growth trajectory. It's a massive force in gaming, a positive force, I think it'll be bigger a year from now than it is today and five years later it'll still be bigger again...My role, well we say it's head of Xbox, actually inside of Microsoft they think of me as the head of gaming. I look at Valve as an important ISV [independent software vendor] for us on Windows. They are such a critical part of gaming's success on Windows. I don't think Valve's hurt by us not having our games on their store right now; they are doing incredibly well and I think we're going to learn by doing of putting our games in our store.

I wanna build a store, there's no doubt about that. Gabe and Scott and Eric and I talked about this and I think Gabe says it very well there are going to be areas where we co-operate and areas where we compete and it's, the end result, is better for gamers. So I definitely want to have, inside of Windows, a healthy store and in order to exorcise the issues that we talked about in terms of some of our early launches I think I have to put my first party stuff there. We adopted Xbox Live before anybody else on console. We're there at launch on consoles doing things that third parties won't go do so I think we need that.

I get the same sentiment that you hear of "hey if you don't put it on Steam then it's not really a Windows game". Steam has earned that, Valve has earned that with the way they treated customers and they've been there and I understand the GFWL 2.0 meme and how "hey maybe we'll forget how to spell Windows again and just try to trick everybody into buying an Xbox". I get that perception from people and I'll tell you as long as I'm in this job I think about Windows and our work on Xbox as core to what we are trying to do and I want to learn from putting our games in our store and the process of doing that because I want to have a healthy store ecosystem. But we will ship games on Steam again and the I think the partnership between us...we had the leadership of Valve over before the show and showed them Scorpio and said "hey here's what we're doing". They're a great partner, I know those guys incredibly well and I think they're doing well without Quantum Break in their store right now.

I don't know what the future holds completely but I have no aversion to shipping games on Steam again but I do think we have to do work on our own and learn from that.

(Steam is doing incredibly well and still growing and they have nothing against Steam but focus is on their own store and building up and improving that though they might use Steam, eventually, maybe.)
(So it's not quite "Microsoft wants to ship games on Steam again." what kinda strange conclusion is that anyway? Though they only listed part of the actual quote.)

Is anyone buying anythinb from the MS shitstore? Who the hell wants to use that?

It will be probably gone in a few years once they realise they can't compete with the other distro platforms and some other new guy that takes over the games division will shut it down Laughing

why should it go? its the same store as on the consoles. and as long as ms doenst quit that business (which wont happen atleast in the next 10 years) the store will be there

same as origin or the uplay shit -> if you want to play games from them -> you need to use it

Not so much about saving pc gaming but more about pushing the Win 10 and Win App Store. They are a business afterall and I'd do the same in their position. In the end it comes down to the fact that we are getting more games on pc from Microsoft. Like Forza, and I'm cool with that!

I rather have them put a real effort into it rather than saying they are and coming up with this shit.
Same goes for Origin and Uplay... step the fuck up (or preferably: fuck off in the case of those two ). GoG is even doing a better job. Razz

I guess that gives hope that if Games like froza will be released the interest will grow and will attract crackers... (Though I might buy some Win10 games with the right price).

Personally,if I was cracker,my focus will be Denuvo at this moment(maybe even another reason for lack of UWP interest)... but I want this UWP to be cracked eventually as well.
