String together Faith’s fluid attacks when engaging with KrugerSEC or other enemies. Combine light and heavy punches to force enemies off balance or to gain an advantage when they’re stunned. Use your environment when fighting to build Focus, and dish out Swift attacks to fight without losing momentum.

FLOW AND FOCUS
Build up and maintain Focus by maintaining movement and action. When Faith has Focus enemies can’t hit her, but losing Focus makes enemy attacks a greater threat to your health level. Once Faith focuses completely, she enters into Flow, a state of awareness that allows you to attack in new and more powerful ways.

Didn't play Mirrors Edge 1 so far. And probably never won't, as its rather deep in my backlog pile.
The sequel looks somewhat interesting though. I can't really judge it though, with those short teasers all the time, that look like cutscenes instead of actual gameplay.

Well, for movement to be inferior to Dying Light it would have to be waaaaaaaaay worse than first Mirror's Edge. That would be the disappointment of the year, of course Very Happy

Full uninterrupted mission in the game. Visuals are reallllllly nice but the lipsyncing and general facial animation is really bad Neutral

Sadly it looks like it's using the same crappy old console-style SSAO, judging by the ugly halos around characters Sad Still, overall the visuals look really nice and the movement is suitably Mirror's Edge enough Very Happy I don't remember if I signed up for the beta though...

well EA recently stated they want to make big ubisoft-like openworld games ... just didnt expect them to do it that fast
... at least the big "D" will save me once again from huge disappointment

Dammit, aside from some strange quirks/design decisions as per EA tradition I like what I'm seeing. Razz I said dammit because I clearly won't be buying it, not until it's extremely dirty cheap, so I'll have to make the most out of the beta (if I'll ever get picked, that is).

From what I understood from the various feedback(s), the combat system on the other hand seems to be the achilles heel, since enemies tend to form a circle and attack one at a time. Now that would be really... Creedy! Laughing Very Happy
