And i agree with Sabin: It looked worse than when it was announced, but it still gave me enjoyment from start to finish. And that's what a game should do.

I felt the game was like 75% complete... so much promise with the premise of the game world and it's abilties, yet seriously lacking in openworld activities.

Imagine having to play detective, by using info gained from your phone to find something or someone, with only one small starting clue. Of course, that would involve using your brain for more than 'X' 'X' 'X' ....

And the side missions just needed a little more oomph - but more fleshing out, rather than lay in wait, club someone and win. (for example).

Potential, should be realised in WD2, but you know it won't be. *sigh*

RIP PC gaming. (yadda yadda...)

Not only did it look and run like ass (bad comparison there sabin, there are many asses I'd gladly spend some time with instead of this Troll Face), but the controls are what truly ruined it for me. Mouse and keyboard felt horrible and the driving was some of the worst ever. And a game like this I just can't play with a gamepad. And then it all sounded terrible too.

So that's 3 major points on which it failed miserably, at which point I couldn't get myself to give a shit about any story or game mechanics.

its like division with cars and no stats/skills, except hacking.

very decent game. it was destroyed by the downgrade talk going viral, ultra textures hitching on what was then high end hardware, and the crappy main character/narrative.

but the game itself is quite good and it was a nice technological step forward between gta 4 tech and gta 5 tech as far as the gta clones genre goes.

Can't speak for the DLCs (there only is one real story DLC or), but i doubt the multiplayer is still alive after all that time.

It was also boring as fuck and has one of the shitiest protagonists in video game history, story is pretty crappy as well but yes it looks decent at times and there are some mods to bring back some of the effects from before the downgrade.

I find it funny how people shit all over this game, yet Division is garnering so much praise for a whole lot of nothing. I had far more fun in Watchdogs than I did in Division.

What gives?

Yeah, the driving was pretty shit (can be compared to Sleeping Dogs). But a TP "stealth" Shooter like this can most certainly be played with a controller. Iv played it both on 360 and PC, and I chosethe 360 controller on PC pretty quick after I noticed how the game felt with M/K.

On top of what you mentioned, it would be welcomed if they actually included a physics engine in the sequel, possibly with guns that shoot bullets instead of withered flowers, a handling model that takes into account that cars have four wheels, meaningful environmental destruction that isn't part of the scripted Truman Show, reworked stealth mechanics that don't involve the press-a-button-to-knock-out-people-no-matter-what, a brand new lighting system capable of rendering daylight without making it look like Mars, a completely new team of writers able to grasp the basics of narration, a different protagonist with a minimum amount of charisma, a...yeah Sad Laughing

well gave it a second try but refunded it today. Sad

i know the game is a little bit older already but man those bad graphics. (got everything on ultra)
somehow i couldn't disabled mouse smoothing and even after google and trying to fix it, it was still feeling weird.
yes i could have played it with gamepad but even with the pad it was weird somehow and normaly i love to play with gamepads.
couldn't get into the story and the missions were pretty boring. also press button to hack seem pretty unnecessary. explode here, change lights there... yea no.
way to many sidemissions and stuff available from the start on. i like those and to get 100% but i don't want to get spammed right away with this stuff when entering a game. let me atleast do the first 1-2 missions.

sorry guys i know tastes are different and all but for me this was a pure mess. still looking forward to part 2. maybe they will do it proper this time. Crying or Very sad
atleast 15 euros back. thank god i didn't bought a key on a shady site

Sounds more like you weren't really in the mood for that kind of (open-world) game at the time.

Can't remember how the controls were for me when i finished it.

For the graphics some SweetFX/Reshade would have helped too.

actually i am. thinking about replaying gta 5 now because i got so disappointed. Sad
you know me man. im not gonna use this stuff. it has to work out of the box. maybe some ini tweaks if controls are messed up or 1-2 graphic settings are not working like they should but no 3rd party tools. Mad
