Pretty much this and combat is a bit lacking it's not that satisfying somehow, Grim Dawn is much better in that department it's my new favorite ARPG but i was also a big Titan Quest fan (i even made a popular gore mod for it back in the day) so take that as you want.

Yep there are 2 fully working cracks but you need steam (or steam lite) running and logged in.

I didn't like Path of Exile as much as I wanted to, as the fighting feels totally bland and as if there is no hit feedback. Torchlight does this REALLY well.

@tet666: A gore mod for TQ?

Titan Quest's IGN vault went under some time back so a lot of mods are probably hard to find but there was a basic blood mod, even some compatibility fix for it and the fan-patch pack.
https://www.google.co.uk/?gws_rd=ssl#q=titan+quest+blood+mod

EDIT: Answered in the above post. Smile
(The Neverwinter Night vault in particular saw a lot of good modules lost forever when it went offline though there might be backups available for some of them.)

Yeah i know some guy made another blood mod based on my mod (i helped him since he fucked it up a bit), here is my old thread on the TQ boards about that:
http://www.titanquest.net/tq-forum/threads/14016-REL-Titan-Quest-Immortal-Throne-Bloodmod-by-TheFallout
but i wasn't able to locate that mod for my last play trough either years ago (and i was far to lazy to do all of that shit myself again...).
Dunno about that mod you linked but it seems like it's a newer mod.

Yup, this is an aswer to Nui too who asked it before: all is needed is the 1.0 (uncracked) version of the game, the Grim.Dawn.Steamworks.Fix.V2-RVTFiX, a Steam account (don't use the legit one, just create a ghetto bogus account) and that's it. Razz

Apparently a new update (1.0.0.1) was just released, which purposely adds even more triggers for the conventional cracks instead of actually fixing stuff, the developers surely have their priorities set straight Laughing

Yea, sadly no fix for the crashes i get.
They only happen when i join multiplayer games of others. Game just randomly freezes often. For example when changing equipment oder clicking around in the skills window.
Had that happen yesterday for 4 times i think.

I never get any freezes when i am the host.

Also the performance of this engine is terrible at times. Even worse than Unity engine.
In heavy fights the FPS drop down to 24fps for a true cinematic experience.

Someone else i was playing with yesterday got ~35fps lowest with 3 x GTX 670 (lol).

Yeah, a real shame. They seem obsessed with piracy. One of the devs was even posting in the RIN thread Laughing

Wouldn't surprise me if they pushed back the latest patch waiting for the working "crack" to be made public so they could put in new triggers.. Hopefully they stop when GOG version is out.

Only problem with low fps is at one burning spot (Blood grove) where it drop in the 20's.
Rest stays above 40. With a gtx 780 on 3680x2160 and some settings lower.

I had to lower some settings to stop my pc from rebooting after a few hours playing.

Caved in and installed steam (lite) to play the isodemo.

Performance so far seems better than POE. POE lags like hell under certain conditions. Although mob density in GD seems pretty lower so far.

Depends on skill you use. If you go crit, preferably with some cold damage, you freeze and shatter mobs and combat feels very satisfying. Something like Incinerate otoh has no hit feedback at all.

I'm enjoying GD so far altho only time will tell if it can approach POE in terms of depth and complexity.

If they truly are obsessed with piracy why wont they invest in Denuvo instead? Seems to me they just like trolling pirates (like CroTeam did with Serious Sam).

Is it possible to change the smith in your base (Duncan/Angrim)?
In my normal playthrough i am pretty sure i sided with Duncan (the magic dude). But in my Elite playthrough now, there already is Angrim in the mainbase? Met Duncan at his spot, but he doesn't want to give me any quests, because i sided with Angrim. WTF?

Of course they are actually i seem to remember one of the devs is even a regular over at rin where he also begged for some cracks before .... and admitted to pirate himself (hint look at page 31 4th post of the Grim Dawn thread) anyway they are probably way to poor to afford Denuvo.

Hm, got the RLD version, applied a hotfix and Grim.Dawn.Steamworks.Fix.V2-RVTFiX, disabled cloud saving in Steam but the game still does not save properly.

NVM, I'm dumb/blind - I didn't see the cloud saving in the game, so I've disabled it inside Steam...

I just started playing this game (looks like a "Van Helsing" clone to me, according to the guy on the loading screen and the rifle/sword combo) and I am wondering about the character creation - only name can be given, no way to modify look, face or body - and no class selection... is that how its supposed to be? Not exactly up to modern times...
Is the class selection coming later when you reach a certain level or solve the first questline?

thx

While I'm no fan of this game, funny he mention no way to modify looks and modern standards together. I don't think any ARPG has that, yet.

Shining beacons of the RPG genre like Failout 4 and Derpage: Retardation, I suppose.

Now, will this latest crack mess up my old saves or is it g2g? I desire to purge steam from my machine asap.

You know, given that -

1) It took them FIVE YEARS to release this
2) They were THREE YEARS late
3) They got almost DOUBLE the funding they claimed they needed
4) They were in Early Access for all of those extra three years, raking in even more money during that time
5) While the engine was modified, a vast majority of the frame-work was undoubtedly copy/pasted...

one would THINK that they would have had enough time to add some quality of life improvements other than a rotatable camera and auto gold/potion pickup.

For instance, why isn't there a separate inventory screen or space for the fifty or so odd crafting elements found throughout the game?

Why do I have to manually click fucking combine each time to combine them? In what fucking scenario that can be dreamt up on this plane of existence would I slap in a fucking partial 1 of 3 or 1 of 4 component and say, "You know what, fuck it, that's good enough!"

They had all this time, all this money, and what they pumped out was a glorified, ever so slightly improved re-skin of Titanquest - with a laughable plot-line, characters it's tough to give a shit about, and voice work that sounds as if they picked some illiterate off the street and taught them to read a cue card (that last part is forgivable/ understandable given their budget, but this is one of those cases where no voice-over at all would have been preferable to what they threw in there).

Don't get me wrong, I loved Titan Quest, but after putting so many hours into Grim Dawn it just reeks of missed opportunity. It's like they were scared to change anything at all for fear of losing that magical formula.

It pains me to say this, it really does, but maybe there's a reason all these Kickstarter developers are "ex-something or other". I'd be the first person to jump on the corporate bashing wagon, but perhaps sometimes a suit really IS needed to light the fire under some asses and keep shit moving.

What a shame.
