That 'The Following' is free for season pass owners has been known since the announcement. I have never seen any communication to the contrary ?
@tolanri Ultimate edition is base game + season pass bundle. Enhanced edition is upcoming upgrade for the game. More details above.
You need to own ultimate edition (base game + season pass or base game + new expansion) to get enhanced edition upgrade for free.

These guys put so much effort into their game and delivered content for free and Kojima Productions and CDPR were the nominees for the developer of the year despite their false advertisement.
BTW guys, the season pass can be had on gmg ru for 3.6 bucks. it's not locked in any way and activates fine on a row copy outside of russia.
what about the base game and how do you access the ru gog store,just visit it via proxy and pay with Paypal?
the base game does have a special RU edition with both activation, and the much worse run restriction that would require VPN to even play the game. It's possible that gmg gives ROW keys, but russian locked keys do exists, so you can't know unless somoene already bought it.
it's only the season pass that is region free. that's specifically why I mentioned it, since they didn't lock it up like they did with the base game.
As for gmg ru store. you need to create a new account while proxy/vpn connected to GMG. and yes, there is paypal as well, and it doesn't check card adress like it does on steam.
Strange but it seems the usual ways with vpn are not working on gmg rus for me, tried it with Hola and PureVPN. Always getting an error stating: ooops, we cannot compute... Made 2 new accounts with valid adresses. Am i doing something wrong?
No point in getting GMG ru keys with my help. No matter what key I get I always end up now with Ru locked keys even though there are no RU tags in the description.I think it's because my CC(paypal) is now tied to my country unlike the previous one (anonymous) I had and they probably detect it and automatically send me Ru locked keys..Well, maybe there is another explanation,I dunno. I don't have enough money to waste to test this theory and try to find a way to get proper GMG keys again
