The time-sensitive quest that I failed was "Kidnapping at County Crossing". Now what's interesting is that I was just offered the quest for a second time.
I just helped the Minutemen retake the "Castle" and was given 2 quests. Another and a second chance at this one.
I'm guessing that if we wait long enough, we eventually get a new call on the radio for Settlement quests we've failed.

You might consider using some Reshade though. It does no wonders, but it definately helps with the sharpening.

Where can you find him?

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

He's a throwaway who doesn't really factor into the plot from what I can tell, which is a shame. I think he would have made an excellent companion, and you get to explore his bitterness at the world or whatever.
But anyway Spoiler: | rent a room at the goodneighbour hotel |

Is there any graphics mods out there that fix the weirdness that happens when DoF/Blur is applied. It's like when this effect is heavily applied in certain scenes it looks like scaling or some weird shit is going on. Like it's lower accuracy then it needs to be or something.
Game looks mostly fine otherwise, at least it runs smooth. Game would look tons better had they just put some better work into the texturing. It's not even an issue of the textures being compressed too much - The source material is simply lazy and has that certain 'next gen console' horseshit look.
Like I said, the only glaring graphical issue i'm noticing that i'm sure can be fixed somewhere is the weird low-res/scaling effect around objects when DoF is heavily applied like when you're talking to people, etc
Fairly consistent 60FPS 1080p w/ all Ultra settings except godray on one lower on my GTX 980.

If you want to do it the old school way just change your refresh rate in windows to 30hz to your display and w/ vsync enabled you'll be locked at 30FPS/30hz.

Man, the more games Bethesda make, the more they make the lore janky. Synths are just kinda, not really giving me a Fallout vibe. The tech is all wrong.
Liberty Prime from 3 was kinda out there for me as well, but still had some basis I guess.
And they still have this weird hard on for ruins. Diamond City is a bit better than Megaton, but the surrounding area of Boston probably is just weird because it should at least be more cleaned up. I mean surely people would use those bricks and steel and whatever to rebuild stuff. Yeesh.

Then you wouldn't have a game. If the game was realistic every area would either be completely picked over and worthless or rebuilt.

In Fallout 2 you had pretty advanced cities like Vault City or Shady Sands and it took place 40 years before F4. It is kind of off putting for me too, that they all live in shacks and ruins. It likes they just started to rebuild civilization.

Is anyone else experiencing fps drops in some areas which require a load screen i.e. Speakeasy in Concord? The rest of the game seems to run fine though. There also seems to be a graphic effect of dust hanging in the environment, in Speakeasy, which I've not noticed anywhere else.

Game is brilliant, what they did with the power armor is awesome. Needs some modding though, like a better interface and some sounds when your walking and running. I got my ass handed to me a lot with the power armor, there seems to be a greater chance the enemy is legendary while wearing the armor, legnd alpha deathclaw, legend war dog, Christ I ran out of ammo for the minigun with those fools.
Funny thing is I jump out of the power armor then my companion steals it from me you can talk them out of it but not in combat. Then I ran into some assassin robot that breaths fire I couldn't kill them with no ammo
Did anyone try this to get more adhesive?
"Build a big water purifier. Plant a lot of Corn, and Tatos. Harvest the purified water from your workbench, gather the corn and tatos, and go to the robot garden for Mutfruit.
These items are used to make Vegetable Starch, which can be broken down into 5 adhesive each."

Another thing WHY do I have to drop the items to break them down, you should be able to break them down from you inventory if you are in a settlement would be so much faster.
