They've done a good job with this. Bethesda has said on twitter that they're going to support it for a long time.

yeah lunchboxes can be done via Freedom it seems, though I haven't been able to run Freedom for quite some time now even with the known fixes that manage to get it up and running last time

my game stopped running, it CTD after I start it
apparently it's a common issue - fixed by reinstalling and loosing your vault

I read on the forums, that they contact support and request refund, and get their money back.

people (or lets say idiots) can claim compensation for lost paid items in the playstore directly, for ios it isnt possible atm. the bug seems to be triggered often when vault residents are send out into the wastelands

Expecting too much is probably why you're feeling that way.
I've even read "it was okay for a couple of weeks, then it got boring". LOL. Really. If I play the same game for two weeks, in my book that's a very solid game. For a mobile game is pretty excellent if you can stay remotely interested for two fucking weeks.
What Bethesda means by "we'll support it for a long time" in terms of actual content or features is hard to say, but this type of gameplay works really well for Fallout.
A PC game should be less hands on micromanagement with regards to the actual resource harvesting once buildings and dwellers have been assigned, and more about the 'governing' of the place, the planning, building and what goes on with the scavangers outside etc.
The clicking on a room to harvest it should be gone from a PC game, as it is very 'mobile' to make people do these -very- repetitive actions in order for the vault to stay afloat.

I find it disturbing, that Bethesda hasn't made any comment on any issues, or even about the game at all, 2 weeks after release

This game gets to a point where you almost need a dwarf therapist kind of thing. Trying to figure out who needs to train next, or who is missing a weapon/uniform when you have over 100 dwellers is really annoying.
and it's really annoying when they make goals like "get X dwellers to 100% happiness when you're running at like 99% happiness for the entire vault already. or assign 14 dwellers a uniform when everyone has one, or assign 15 dwellers to the "right" room. They need to work on the goals.

Easy:
For 100% happiness, let them make a baby (instant 100%)
For "equip" goals: just equip an item and reequip the old. That works
For the right room one, u got a point

Which leads to even larger populations to manage. The problem is, I have nearly an entire population of 100 at 100% happiness already. It's hunting and pecking to try and find enough people to bump up to 100% and removing and equipping weapons is hit and miss. I've had plenty of times where it hasn't registered as giving a weapon or uniform.
also I'm convinced the percentages for rushing are completely fucked. I've had like 8 failures on a row on different rooms all at sub 20% failure rate and at the same time had 6-8 successes on a row on a room over 60% failure rate. Sure, you could argue there is a streak, but the statistics on those happening, which have all happened multiple times, is pretty damn low.

Luck seems to be a factor in rushing rooms. I actually agree with your statement that it's still f'd though. Something doesn't seem right for how many times a sub 20% fails. Regardless, bump up luck on everyone. Seems to be a good stat all around anyway. I have 2 luck farming facilities going on at all times and just rotate people out. I have around 134 people now but I'm refraining from bringing more in until I can up their stats some more.

luck and the primary stats
I have dwellers with primary, endurance and luck at 10 in production rooms, and I have 0% chance to fail a rush, but the lower the chance, the lower the money and xp gain, which is ok, as I have abundance of caps (180k), because the more luck in the production rooms, the more % chance and caps you get from regular ticks

Posting Bob's update here since we have a thread already in the PC Arena
Bob Barnsen wrote: | Quote: | Fallout Shelter will be released on PC this week, along with game update 1.6 - the biggest update so far.
Specific timing is harder to pinpoint; yesterday the Fallout Twitter account tweeted that there were five days to go. But we don't know whether that counts yesterday or how it translates into European time zones. Whatever, we're looking at a release in the second half of the week, possibly as early as Wednesday. |
