Didn't Microsoft say that they've dropped the charges for patches?

Even if patches did cost money, no fucking way would that be a reason to not release a game on consoles

It's pretty obvious that XCOM 2 *will* come to consoles, there's no way they'd want to give up that slice of income.

Propably... likeley... maybe?
The thing is, the first one seemed to have sold so poorly compared to PC that it's maybe not worth investing into it yet. If you take all the licensing fees and shit for a console version into account.
While shitting out a cheap PC port is worth it most of the time.. not sure if that's the case the other way around.
I guess they're gonna make the game as good as possible, which will create buzz for the game and every gullible PC gamer will praise them for it like CDPR. With the gained money in the bank and the PR buzz behind it a console port will be realized. That's how I see it happening.

Haha, I think you're onto something there. They realized that earning the trust of PC users is the easiest thing these days, and really doesn't take much to become the "saviors" of something that doesn't need to be saved to begin with.
Hopefully though, they'll be forced to actually do something this time around to validate their claims, so in the end it's not too bad. Just wait for the inevitable sales so we don't finance the upcoming console versions too much

I don't know why developers should even bother, since there is no pleasing anybody anyway. Claim a console release - they are sellouts, claim a PC release - it's all bullshit and hidden agenda.
PC Gaming Mustard Race is a sad bunch, truly.

I joke about it as always, but when you get mistreated for so many years, it's hard - if not impossible, to trust anyone. It takes ages to recover from chronic trust issues and ptcd (post-traumatic console disorder), and at least a dozen of potentially positive scenarios that don't end in disappointment, false promises and inevitable betrayal buttsecs. It's like facing a virtual Gamepadanamo prison torture. We weren't this bitter back in the day! *shakes fist*

Its only exclusive to PC for only one thing : Patches on PC are free then , 3.000$ or more on Consoles per patch
PCs became a test platform , if its exclusive you know why ...
@Pl@tinum
this game was designed with a GamePad in mind , if you play it with a pad ... if perfect ... its bizarre but thats how it was designed |
The UI is still awful with the gamepad. It lacks basic information all around. Something simple as a mouse over could grant important information quickly, instead you have to jump through stupid button menus. |
i know that pain , this game was unplayable with M&K ... but for me it was playable only with a pad ...as weird as it sounds ... then the Gui for me made sense
have to still finish it ... kinda rage quit this game, when theirs broken percentage system of aim made me miss a Alien ,6 times with a 100% chance to hit after that i was like "Meh fuck this shit" ....
Did they fix this ?

Enemy Within officially added some Second Wave options (that you could only unlock with a mod in Enemy Unknown). One of new ones is to randomise the seed on reload so you get different results. I think it is literally called "Save Scummer". I'm not sure if it is possible on vanilla EU.

It sounds awesome so far, especially the stealth aspect and the combo actions of the ranger class. Hopefully some real gameplay videos will be shown soon too

The alien occupation of Earth works well with the idea of controlling a small resistance unit.
Some scenarios in XCOM felt odd, because I had men, guns and still could only use a single team to for example save a city, or attack a friggen alien battleship...

Yeah, one of the most artificial limitations of EU was the fact that you could only ever deploy a single team of 6 soldiers at a time, when you could theoretically have up to 100 soldiers on staff. You could have a fleet of interceptors spread across the world, a swarm of satellites encircling the globe, but apparently you could only afford a single troop carrier? I get the gameplay reasoning behind it, to force a hard decision when being confronted with a handful of simultaneous events, being forced to resolve a single mission at the expense of the others and juggling the resulting panic, but it just felt so contrived. I hope they don't do anything like that again this time around.
