Should Geralt choose Yen over Triss? I can't figure that one out. I'm playing this as "Geralt of Rivia" as much as I can, but the Yennefer thing is bothering me. They shiould have a strong connection, but we didn't see that in the previous games., so it's a bit difficult to connect to her over Triss. Can anyone who has read the books comment? Yes I know it's my game and I shiouldn't care, but I'm Geralt of Rivia dammit :x |
I did the only right thing and declared my love to both :P
Think about it.. he lost his memory, fell in love with Triss, then regained his memory of being in love with Yen, so obviously he's gonna love both, it's not his fault... now if only I could explain it to Triss and Yen...

What an awesome game. I'm still only level 13 and I enjoyed every minute of it. This is one of the few games I take time for a stroll, chilling in Novigrad. It's also surprisingly challenging even when you're high level, I think monsters have a range in which they scale. Not giving XP when you're 5 levels higher is also a very wise decision. In most RPGs this would lead to skipping quests, but in this one I wouldn't even think of such a blasphemous thing, even if I don't get any XP
If the later parts are rushed like most games, missing the extreme attention to detail, I'll be pissed |
Geralt and Yen have a rather toxic relationship in the books. They genuinely love each other, but Yen has a rather abrasive personality to say the least.
In the books they always end up splitting up and then reconciling. A lot of this may have something to do with the fact Geralt's last wish to a djinn was that they would never be apart.

Finished my cat armor set at last. These treasure hunts are one of my favorite parts of the game. They combine exploration, lore, and even some light puzzles.
Now I need a monster egg to upgrade the gryphon sword...

Did that too. The consequences and the outcome quest were funny and sad at the same time.

It's funny how Yen is really cute in this game, but triss looks like shit compared to the second. It's like they want us to choose yen.

Sad that Shani never showed up after TW1. Hearing whispers about the DLC featuring her though... so maybe next year
1 and 2 are still amazing.

How the heck do I update the 1.02 plaza version (which is plain steam version with steam.dll deleted)
3080 | ps5 pro
Sin317-"im 31 years old and still surprised at how much shit comes out of my ass actually ..."
SteamDRM-"Call of Duty is the symbol of the true perfection in every aspect. Call of Duty games are like Mozart's/Beethoven's symphonies"
deadpoetic-"are you new to the cyberspace?"

I belive there's a notice on board in Crow's Perch (Baron's city) about it?
Did you check it? | Yes, it's from that notice board that you get the quest. |
Maybe it's later in the game? I've started doing the Baron quests now, already checked the noticeboard, no fights Perhaps the board restocks after the Baron questline is done?

Aye, I'm of the same mind too... there's just no connection (in the games) between them and whenever she's around, she's an aloof bitch, whereas Triss is so very clearly madly into Geralt and they have a lot of chemistry. Still, the "story" has Geralt and Yen and, as I read, the "connection" really starts building up in the second half of the game when you spend more time with her.

Couldn't agree more! I'm lv14, 79 hours in, and having as much fun and enjoyment out of this now as I was in hour 1. Unlike DAI and Divinity OS, where after 80 hours it started to wear thin, I'm not having any burn out at all.. there's always something fun to do, always an engrossing quest that makes me WANT to tackle it.. XP or no XP (though I'm VERY lucky right now it seems, no XP bug at the moment thank fuck) -- I even enjoy the combat and I get a rush of satisfaction taking on enemies that are many levels higher
I'm also very impressed with Ciri so far too, her character was SO not what I was expecting either... from the promo shots and her expression, I was expecting some brash "bad girl", but she's really funny and sweet I love the way she talks about her "father" and "uncle", I hope she's in the game a LOT more after her flashbacks.

I think)

to get the fight quest you have to go to a tavern and there will be a fight going on, simply just enter then after the match is over geralt will ask the guy who he can fight next and the quest track will appear
