I've just finished it.
My character was lvl 17 in the end (I didn't buy all +XP items ). Everything was maxed out except for barter (0/2) and range (2/6). I found & bought some +1 skill points items though
17 hours total gameplay (I think it's actually less than that coz I was afk several times and left the game running, so more likely ~15-16 hours. And I play games kinda slow.
2 quests were still not finished ( antique antics & the bugged one - chemicals and stimpacks)
Singularity ending (the one I chose) has a lame cutscene
Ranged combat is atrocious.
Anyway, great game

Spoiler: | Yup, I think Singularity was added after-the-fact, it felt so rushed and poorly done whereas the Defiance ending was a lot more fleshed out and it felt more natural, like it was the intended end but the developers thought they had to add some kind of arbitrary choice at the end in order to appeal to people. Still just a cutscene cinematic, but you actually got closure and proper voice over, rather than a flashing myriad of images and then... nothing |

New update out.
Size: 34.9 MB.
Quote: | Hi everyone!
We’re releasing yet another patch today, with a whole new list of big and small fixes. Let’s get right to it!
- Fixed the dialog bug which caused certain NPC lines to be repeated twice.
- Fixed the scrolling in the Journal and Quest Log menus using a controller.
- Fixed the bug where clicking a Journal entry caused the cursor to skip half the list.
- The controls for Cyberspace can now also be remapped for the keyboard (particularly useful for AZERTY users).
- Fixed the gas valves in the Sewers, so they do not reset their position when you change location.
- Fixed the bug where the pistons would kill Dex upon touching her even when they were not going down.
- Fixed the bug where you disabled the Docks turrets via hacking and they re-appeared when you left and came back.
- Tony’s inventory will not be restocked every time you travel back to him now.
- Fixed some navigation issues with the Trading screen when using a controller.
- Fixed the bug which allowed you to re-open Lily’s safe (and loot it) infinitely (sorry to those who liked to abuse it!)
- Fixed the bug that caused an autosave to trigger just as you loaded a save.
- Fixed the Level 6 Melee skill which didn’t work as advertised (Power Kick is now unblockable).
- Fixed the tooltips in AR describing the effects of skills: they now update correctly as you level up those skills.
- Fixed the bug where destroyed cameras and turrets would re-appear when you re-entered a location.
- Added the Mirrorshade implant to the list of available implants from Dr Niles. This implant allows you to use the item Mirrorshade Cloak, very useful if you like to use stealth (makes you invisible for 8 seconds).
- Linux only issue with the Down/Crouch key being hardcoded to “S”: should be fine now, just make sure you manually assign it to whatever key you want in the Options menu for the change to take effect.
- Added missing icons for secondary skills Charisma, AR and Barter in the Character menu.
- Adjusted dialog text to match audio recording for some characters.
- Fixed missing audio for certain dialog lines.
- And several more minor ones!
We wish you a great weekend, and we’ll keep monitoring your feedback!
Your Dex team |
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Except I've scoured every millimetre of every map and I've found every chemical cannister there is, the quest never ends and you're left with half a dozen green cannisters as "quest" items in your inventory. Same with Antiques, I've scoured every part of every map, found all the antiques I could see, that quest also never ends. I'm not sure if they're "meant" be ongoing, but it seems fairly redundant to have permanent quests that cannot be advanced due to lack of quest items.

Can someone tell me where Lydia is, after getting what she wants?
I must have missed her location.

Looks like manual saving has been disabled in the latest update.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

Haha, finally! Though personally I'd have recommended simply removing the "quest" tag so they could be saleable junk.

Nice!

After a playthrough as troubled as having a ghetto $2 cyberimplant with no quicksave, I finally finished this Dex. It was extremely enjoyable, a potentially interesting concept that didn't turn into a failure, what's going on
Despite some roughness due to the limited budget, and slightly simplistic design decisions (combat could have used more variety for example, a deeper stealth would have made everything more immersive, and dat awkward -unexplainable- autosaving ), the game has achieved something important, since this is a definitely valid attempt to create something close to a 2D Deus-Ex. The devs nailed both the cyberpunk atmosphere (with each mini-hub having its own specific style and music), and the writing with the tons of dialogues/voiced characters and their related quests.
Sometimes non-linearity gets sacrificed but that's mostly because of the constraints from the 2D world, not too much of a problem really. I found the game actually surprisingly long, I initially thought it was one of those 5-6h indie titles and instead ended up playing for so many hours (going through the main quest only would be a waste, don't do it men) with some regrets too but those are part of the cyberjob. Easily a 8/10 game for me, which includes the bonus for having scratched that latent cyberpunk itch^^

Is every game released today 70% finished, then finish the game with sales 6-12 months later... almost everything i have purchased in the last 12 months is on hold awaiting patches / finishing.

I will give this a go again when the update comes out. The UI doesn't really bother me as I am playing with a controller anyways.
