I can never for the life of me understand the moronic thinking that goes into this. And when I read such comments I really feel like turning into Trevor and go on a rampage.

I almost - almost choked on a kinder egg as a kid Sad

I could not open the toy containers by hand so I bit them open, but if you bite them from wrong end it can cause the shell half to 'shoot' at reasonable force. And I had the half of the shell in my mouth then.

So I could see this happening, however, banning them because of such is idiotic Razz There would be so many things that have to be banned if this is the only reason.

ps. they could loosen the shells a bit Razz

I think they changed the design of that. At least the ones I get nowadays are like a lid that opens and not two separate pieces so you'll never end up with one flying (in your mouth).

And it fucking sucks, this used to be my favorite thing when I was a kid and lived in Poland.

Sucks that I can't get them now in the US :/

I think there are a total of 20 reported deaths from choking on Kinder toys. Worldwide. Since Kinder Egg inception.

I'm sure that means blowjob-related deaths are more common.

That was the only way I knew how to open those eggs Laughing The plastic was good though, there was always a bit of Kinder-chocolate residue sticking on it Very Happy
The new version is much easier to open though Rolling Eyes

There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.

How are you people not managing to open them with your hands? Just squeeze in the middle part of the plastic 'egg' and the sides pop out, it's not rocket-surgery.

Exactly! I used to collect all the figurines as a child haha, one time they had little smurfs you could collect, there was like 20 of them or some shit... lol

Probably some other manufacturers lobbied (bullied) the government to ban them.


You are partially correct. The Kinder Surprise are banned based on a food health rule that dates back from the 30's.

Ferrero apparently tried to get the law changed sometime in the 90's but the Mars company lobbied against the change.
