Even with some traffic flaws/issues this game is simply stunning.

Ah well, I put my first attempt down to Ebola, like Ixi said
Next attempt is looking much better, not exactly sure what I did differently, but I'm progressing nicely.
I have a one slight issue with the game;
As much as I hate SlumCity, I kinda liked the trade import/export idea. I don't seem to see anything like that in Skylines, but then I might not have gotten far enough yet.

Industry needs stuff to make things, and they need to either get those products to the commercial zones, or export them. That's why it's essential to manage truck-traffic, as they can be the biggest source of congestion.

Only one thing I hate about this gem.
One road in, one road out. (unless you cross them) Why?
I want to just put a six lane road into the city at the start, if I want to. Why the 'in' and 'out' separated routes?

Ah man, I am absolutely in love with this game. Have a nice going city (on first map). Managed to go into bankruptcy on my first try before the city even got started properly but going much much better now!
Recently bought a 3rd tile in order to keep my water outflow going in the right direction and have a pop of 26,000. I suppose they must have fixed the traffic ALOT, cause I have like no problems and I haven't even put in too much effort with my road network just yet. I'm building all over the place, spacing it out some leaving open areas and mixing grid with curvy roads. Only have some slight congestion in my industrial area and also going into my 2nd one in the tile below, leading to the train cargo shipment. Which in turn can cause some concern when they are leaving the station. But usually it seems to clear out pretty quickly. I suppose it will be a different story when I reach 35-40,000 though.
I also love the fact that it is possible to check all your buslines, how many travel and how much it reduces the traffic. Just a shame you have to chase down the buses in order to check the lines, wish it was possbile by clicking the depot but I can't seem to find that there. For now my only complaint is the fact you seem to have to plot down a ton of schools as well as fire, police, clinics to keep everything up there. One thing I miss from SC is the ability to upgrade schools to take in more kids.

I also went bankrupt before the game even started. Made a nice layout and stuff and build everything i needed i only forgot about the powerlines towards the waterpump. Ended up with coming 6 blocks short and i thought it would sort itself out when i got some money in.
Wrong thought because there never came any money in and without the water i couldnt reach 500 population to get a loan, lol.
Empty again

In what must be a Hump first, a game, Cities: Skylines, has received unanimous praise and recommendation.
Only one person, the Hump's pet jester, polosistealth, attempted a troll like posting, only to be shot down in flames - which is the norm for that particular member.
As a result of this overwhelming positivity, the developers of Skylines have retired to a small island off the coast of Australia, and Gaben has announced the addition of another 10 pounds of himself.

Played for about 2 hours of the codex version, before i decided it was well worth the money.
I was worried that the game lacked polish, specially when i see the "low" price compared to AAA titles. But i am happy to see, in many areas it is more polished than Sim City 2013.
Overall great game, can not wait to see what the modding community spits out.

I hope there will be some kind of solution for the very tiny fonts. I still can't believe that most devs ignore UI scaling. The majority of the strategy games have this problem.
Also Valve with their Steam machines (and the other hardware) will be in big trouble because consumers will buy these products for couch gaming. Imagine their reactions when they'll find that 80% of the games are unplayable beyond 1.5m .
