Is that your minimum or average?
Cuz i have a Q9400 and a 260x and thats the average fps with drops to 14 with crowds |
It's the average in Paris sadly..with Low only granting me less stuttering overall. If only there was a stronger motion blur, it would be the perfect cinematic experience recommended by the Ubi staff itself.
(Far Cry 4 on the other hand runs well all things considered)

Ah, wasn't aware of that. 300 fixes but the performance ain't one What can I say, one can only hope!
With this one I would be okay even with ye peasant 30fps as long as they're stable, and I can assure you that KC hasn't hacked my account..yet xD

1.3 is the latest patch, and yes, it's released on PC.
1.4 is for Far Cry 4.

Patch 3 only fixed technical issues, Patch 4 will be dedicated to performance issues on PC, they mentioned that a while ago.

Patch 4 will delete the game from your system, and offer you a copy of AC1 instead.f

No, I was waiting for the few inevitable post-release patches. Just installed the game, and strangely enough, I don't have bad performance, everything set to High @ 1080 with FXAA, rig is Core i5 3570K overclocked to 4,3 Ghz, and an overclocked Nvidia GTX 970. Maybe underclocked memory with low latency is a factor, I have Corsair DDR3 2133 underclocked to 1600 8-8-8-22-2T.
It's certainly not perfect, but it's not bad either.
EDIT: Switched to ULTRA, and while the framerate is somewhat lower, it's still playable quite well.
What I don't like is the lighting, everything lacks depth, there is not enough soft, diffused light.

How is that possible? FXAA is driver-implemented very cheap postprocessing AA that just blurs the lines of the already rendered image.

FXAA is actually really well implemented and doesn't take framerate at all, Mortibus is trolling as usual.

I dont notice much difference with fxaa and no aa but the more I played the bigger difference I see between 1.2 and 1.3. In new patch there is signifantly more fps drops in certain places full of npcs, also in 1.2 I had occasional 5 seconds game locks, in 1.3 it happens more often. Am I the only one that noticed even shitter performance after new patch ?
