AFAIK Patch 3 only fixed technical issues, Patch 4 will be dedicated to performance issues on PC, they mentioned that a while ago.

It's the average in Paris sadly..with Low only granting me less stuttering overall. If only there was a stronger motion blur, it would be the perfect cinematic experience recommended by the Ubi staff itself.
(Far Cry 4 on the other hand runs well all things considered)

Ah, wasn't aware of that. Razz 300 fixes but the performance ain't one Cool Face What can I say, one can only hope! Laughing
With this one I would be okay even with ye peasant 30fps as long as they're stable, and I can assure you that KC hasn't hacked my account..yet xD

You wouldn't be in that position in the first place if you only had P2P leaks of Uplay pre-load.
All they needed to update to v1.3.0 is the v1.3.0 as uplay pre-load copies were already on v1.2.0 without exe. Believing in scene too much can lead you to this sometimes Very Happy

Ok, but i still need an explanation why did 1.3 installer failed at the end with "decompression failed" message and uninstalled the entire game. That's bugging me. Smile

I've redownloaded ISO+updates from a different source (although the files are exactly the same, byte by byte/hashes) and this time v1.3 installed just fine. Smile
Only difference was that i've installed the game and updates from the same partition, but i really don't understand how installing update from one to another partition could end up with an error (unpacked rars from the 1.3 update as usual, if there was an error i couldn't unpacked it). God knows what happened... Laughing

At the end, sadly my game still stutters/microfreezes with everything on low (high, low same thing) and is completely unplayable on i5 3570k @ 4.2, GTX 660ti (1680*1050), 8GB ram...

I hope v1.4 will at least eliminate stutters. Smile

No, I was waiting for the few inevitable post-release patches. Just installed the game, and strangely enough, I don't have bad performance, everything set to High @ 1080 with FXAA, rig is Core i5 3570K overclocked to 4,3 Ghz, and an overclocked Nvidia GTX 970. Maybe underclocked memory with low latency is a factor, I have Corsair DDR3 2133 underclocked to 1600 8-8-8-22-2T.

It's certainly not perfect, but it's not bad either.

EDIT: Switched to ULTRA, and while the framerate is somewhat lower, it's still playable quite well.

What I don't like is the lighting, everything lacks depth, there is not enough soft, diffused light.

How is that possible? FXAA is driver-implemented very cheap postprocessing AA that just blurs the lines of the already rendered image.

maybe on your nasa pc, on my rig fxaa is what killed my fps, then again it was so unstable at a times that fps were all over the place Laughing
in any case i can't test it anymore cause i shift+deleted this crap after finishing sp, considering how greatly this game optimized i'm far from trolling

Sure, it killed FPS for you, except everyone but you earlier in this thread said that FXAA is really good in this one and is probably the option to stick with if you want any AA at all, especially since it doesn't kill the framerate Laughing

I dont notice much difference with fxaa and no aa but the more I played the bigger difference I see between 1.2 and 1.3. In new patch there is signifantly more fps drops in certain places full of npcs, also in 1.2 I had occasional 5 seconds game locks, in 1.3 it happens more often. Am I the only one that noticed even shitter performance after new patch ?
